Kirby’s POV

“Alpha, bad news. Word just came in – Leslie’s invested in a show!”

In Crimson Moon Pack’s office, Malach hurried in and threw an investment proposal onto my desk.
I raised a brow and asked lazily, “What show?”
He lowered his voice. “Heard it’s a female werewolf reality program to prop up Kelly.”
My frown deepened and I let out a cold laugh. “Leiss is backing it?”
That bastard still had the nerve to push a show after being humiliated like that?
Leiss’s ex,
Lance muttered in my head: That Omega tore him to shreds and he still supports her? Pathetic.
Malach glanced at my face and quickly corrected, cautious. “It’s Leslie backing her.”
My mood soured instantly, mint scent cutting through the room like knives.
That woman Kelly was no good. What if she corrupted Leslie?
“Ruined her.”
I declared the program dead on arrival, before it even started.
Malach hesitated. “Leslie’s going to participate too.”
The office went silent.
My chest jolted, like her pine resin scent had brushed past me, leaving my teeth clenched tight.
Lance gave a bitter laugh: It’s over. She’s in it too. What now?
I took a deep breath, then ground my teeth. “Doesn’t matter what it costs Pack will be the sole sponsor.”

Crimson Moon
If it was Leslie’s show, I’d back it with everything. No one else would get the chance to play hero
for her.
Lance clapped in my head: Yes! Throw the money down and own the whole stage!

Malach frowned, trying to reason. “Kirby, the market direction isn’t clear. The guests aren’t high profile. It’s targeted mainly at–single women…‘
“Enough. I’ve decided. Do it.” My tone brooked no refusal.
He froze, then nodded. “Yes.”
Days later, the script landed on my desk. The title glared back at me in bold letters–Single and Happy!
I stared at it, and the more I looked, the more it burned my eyes.
Lance growled in my head: “Single and Happy? Leslie’s flat–out declaring she doesn’t want a partner?”
My chest tightened, her imagined sneer stabbing through me.
Malach spoke carefully. “Alpha, once the recording starts, we won’t have much involvement. The funding’s already delivered in full. The invited female celebrities have good reputations. It won’t affect us.”
My knuckles traced over the printed words, emotions tangled inside me.
Leslie, joining a show about living joyfully after being abandoned?
Was she trying to kill me?
“Can we still pull the money?” I asked coldly, realizing I’d dug myself into a pit – and I had no choice but to jump.
If I’d known, I would’ve wrecked the project from the start.
Malach stayed silent, not daring to answer. I lit a cigarette, tapping the desk through the haze. “Forget it. Consider it thrown away.”
He tried to console me. “Michael from Aurora Entertainment has high hopes. Ratings won’t be bad. Our investment won’t go to waste – it might even make a fortune.”
I shot him a cold look. “Take the profit yourself, then.”
A fortune? Better if it lost every cent.
Malach froze, stunned, and wisely shut up.
Soon after, he returned with new intel: the show needed a male host.
I made the call immediately. “I’ll do it myself.”

Lance cheered in my head: Exactly! Go in there and set those women straight! A man who makes mistakes can still turn back. A reformed wolf is worth more than gold. Admit wrongs, change course a good man!
I ordered Malach to notify the production team. I’d appear as a mystery guest, a grand “surprise” for Leslie.
Leslie, you want to play at being single and happy? I’ll make damn sure you know – will never let you stay single.
