403 Exile to the South
Chloe’s POV
I didn’t dare breathe, didn’t dare lift my head, only keeping my face turned in Leslie’s direction.
In my mind, my wolf trembled like a small creature caught in a hunter’s sights. Chloe, it’s over This time it’s really over!
My voice quavered, already breaking into sobs. “Leslie, I’m sorry. I didn’t know the rules. I slipped a mild hallucinogen into the wine. I only wanted Kirby to mark me. I’ll never do it again. Please, you’re generous–spare me this once…”
I had originally planned to add an aphrodisiac, but that was too crude. One sniff and an Alpha’s nose would pick it up, and I’d be finished on the spot.
So I chose a hallucinogen instead, just a small amount mixed into the red wine–enough to leave its bouquet unchanged but dull the drinker’s mind, even muddle their wolf.
Paired with my Omega’s heat–scent pheromones, it was supposed to slowly chip away at Kirby’s defenses and achieve my goal.
But now everything was ruined. My heart felt like it was being shredded by wolf claws, the pain so sharp I couldn’t breathe.
The room was dead silent except for my muffled sobs echoing back at me.
Kirby’s mint pheromones cut like knives, pressing the air from my lungs. I could feel his stare stabbing into my back like ice picks.
I would never forget what happened last night–my fingers bent back one by one, then even my wrists weren’t spared. That drilling pain, with an Omega’s body, was unbearable.
Bones dislocated, blood everywhere–they hadn’t held back because I was a woman. They’d been even more ruthless.
My hands were still purple now, twisted out of shape. They wouldn’t heal anytime soon, and even if they did, they might be deformed forever…
My lips trembled as fear seeped from my bones. Every nerve screamed.
I crawled forward in humiliation and pressed a trembling kiss to the tip of Leslie’s shoe. “I… I didn’t mean it. I was wrong… Leslie, I didn’t know you’d be in that room. I just lost my mind for a moment. I didn’t mean any harm…”
Kirby’s gaze was as dark and sharp as a blade, flaying my back with cold.

He turned to Leslie, his voice suddenly soft and gentle. “How do you want to handle her?”
Everything he’d done to me–was it only to vent Leslie’s anger?
I went limp on the floor, shaking like a leaf, my vision blurred by tears as I waited for the final judgment.
Leslie was silent for a moment before speaking. “Let her go.”
Joy surged through me so hard I almost thought I’d misheard.
My wolf shouted with relief. She spared you!
I had been sure I was dead. I’d tried to scheme against the Crimson Moon Pack’s Alpha and even drugged the Princess of the Night. For any Omega that was a death sentence.
But Leslie was merciful–nothing like the rumors!
I opened my mouth to thank her, but Kirby had already called for a gamma. “Take her out.”
“Yes.” The gamma grabbed me, rough but silent. I didn’t dare resist.
This was already the best outcome I could hope for.
