Because she was still unable to speak, Rania nodded at him, and told him that she was happy that he was fine.

People started to see her differently, because she was not as helpless, and hopeless, like people thought she was.

They had learned that Rania didn’t have her wolf spirit, but it was still unclear about why she didn’t have it.

And because of that too, by proxy, the image that people had about the king had changed too. Especially, when they saw how gentle the king was towards his mate, the side of the Mad King that they had never seen before.

The sisters kept gossiping about the rumors around, while Rania listened to them, and chimed in every now and then. The three of them were boiling some concoction.

All the warriors were getting better, thus it lessened their workload a lot.

And, speaking of the devil; Della almost dropped the ladle when she saw the king was approaching them. She nudged her sister to stop talking, because with this distance, he could listen to their conversation, and she was not sure whether he would like what he hard.

However, the two of them didn’t need to bother, because the king’s main focus was on his mate, he didn’t even realize their existence, as he kissed Rania on her cheek to get her attention.

But, he ended up kissing her lips instead, because she turned her head at the right moment. Rania was curious what the sisters were seeing, until they stopped talking and staring at someone behind her back.

As it turned out, it was her mate.

“Ops, I don’t know that you want me to kiss you so bad. You have a good instinct.” Maximus kissed her again when she was about to protest.

And when the situation got heated, because the king refused to let her go, Della and Dorry got their clue and left them alone, before they got burned with the steaminess.

Rania pushed him slightly, so he could stop that, and then mouthed; what?

Maximus kissed the tip of her nose, as he watched how her lips were swollen the way he wanted it. He smirked. “Let’s go back to the palace. There is nothing else you need to do here. Those healers that you found to help can handle all of this.”

Rania knew sooner or later she would have to leave, but it was hard now, since she liked it to be here. She felt she was useful. She could help with something when she was here.

“Here you are!” Elena said happily, she gestured for Jasmine to come closer. The old lady was grinning from ear to ear when she saw Jasmine. “I think there are a lot of things that both of you need to be discussed. I will leave you two alone.”

“Yes, there are a lot of things that we need to discuss. Thank you, Mother.” Killian nodded. His eyes were on Jasmine.

When Elena approached Jasmine, she whispered to her encouragingly. “Don’t worry, he said he is happy when he learned that you are pregnant.”
