The water was still running, so did her tears and blood, but this time, Rania didn’t feel cold anymore. She felt empty. She felt used. She felt numb.
She stared at the flood of her own blood that rinsed by the water, and she didn’t know what to think anymore.
She couldn’t even feel the fear.
Maximus had long gone, once he was done with her, he stormed out of the bathroom, leaving her there, broken.
Rania didn’t even know how long she was sitting on the cold floor of the bathroom with cold water from the shower drenched her when Kean came inside, and shrieked in fear to see her current condition.
“My lady, are you okay?” Kean immediately approached Rania, she knelt down next to her after she turned off the shower. “Come on, get up. You will get sick if you are sitting here.”
The rest was a blur. It was amazing to see how attentive Kean was when she took care of Rania. She cried when she had to wipe the blood from her body, the bite mark on her breast, and her hip, also on her arms.
Some of them would leave scar for sure, along with the wound on her neck, but Rania didn’t seem to care about that fact, she kept her eyes on the ceiling.
“Should I get the healer?” Kean asked, mostly to herself, because she didn’t know what to do.
She wiped Rania, and went to the walk in closet to see her backpack, and a few clothes inside, she got some that looked comfortable for her, and then put it on her.
Kean cried when Rania didn’t respond to her. “I will get Lula here,” she said, she was worried with her wounds. She knew with Rania’s condition. She couldn’t heal like the other shifters.
“No,”
“Rania said, her voice was small, and weak. “No…”
“But…”
“No.”

Kean then returned, because she didn’t have a heart to leave Rania like that. She cried to her palms. “I am sorry you have to go through this.”
Rania stopped listening to what Kean said, but she felt slightly better to hear her cry, because she was too exhausted to cry, so Kean could cry on her behalf too.
“The poison…” Rania said, her head was a little bit dizzy, and then she remembered she had not yet eaten anything this afternoon.
“Yes?” Kean lifted her head to look at Rania when she mentioned about the poison. “What about the poison?”
Kean looked around her, as if she as afraid if there was someone eavesdropped their conversation. It would be

the end of her.
“How long it will take effect?”
Kean frowned. She was thinking about it. “I don’t know for sure, but I have three bottles with me, and I was instructed to give them to you one by one when you have finished the first bottle.”
Rania then shifted her attention back to Kean. “How long they need time to make a move on the king?”
“They said, they need a year when that person told me.” Kean looked at Rania with sympathy in her eyes. “I know this is hard. I know that the king is your mate and you will suffer immense pain if he died, but he already hurt you, didn’t he?”
“Thank you. Thank you, my lady. Your role is very critical in this plan.” Kean cried again, she covered her face with her palms. “I feel better to know that my family will be avenged.”
