Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 186

Bradley made no effort to hide his affection, gently lifting Charlotte into his arms in front of everyone.

A ripple of surprise swept through the crowd.

Especially Mr. Jones, who’d come from Avalor. He adjusted his glasses in astonishment. “Back in Avalor, we always heard Mr. Fairchild was utterly devoted to his research, the sort of man who kept his distance from women. Mrs. Fairchild must be quite extraordinary. Honestly, I believe the real author of the paper is her.”

Sean shook his head, unable to suppress a smirk. “Mr. Jones, I just hope you won’t be too disappointed when the truth comes out.”

With that, the bidding conference officially began.

Everyone took their seats.

The lead organizer from the world-renowned TOPMS Medical Center stepped onto the stage and outlined the agenda for the day.

First up were presentations from each participating group, highlighting their strengths.

The Harrington Group’s spokesperson was Xena.

Though she only held an undergraduate degree and had virtually no clinical or academic experience, she was an accomplished speaker. Reading from the script Sean had prepared, she quickly won the audience’s admiration.

“Thank you all for your recognition. In scientific research, what matters most is being grounded in reality,” she said, letting her gaze linger pointedly on Charlotte. “Unlike certain people who take credit for others’ work without lifting a finger, showing up at international events with nothing but empty talk.”

Her words were a direct jab at Charlotte, implying she’d gotten where she was thanks to Bradley. The audience erupted in a flurry of whispered gossip.

Charlotte didn’t bother to respond.

She knew that explanations were pointless. Only results could silence them all.

“And now, let’s welcome the N-LINK Group to the stage for their presentation!”

As the words faded, Bradley personally wheeled Charlotte up to the podium.

When Bradley adjusted the too-tall standing mic, someone from Sean’s team snickered from the audience. “So, what do you think Mr. Fairchild saw in her? Maybe he just has a thing for helping the disabled.”

The word “disabled” reached Darren’s ears.

His eyes narrowed.
