Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 242

As the sun sank low in the sky, an elderly figure, supported by the family butler, slowly made his way toward him, leaning heavily on a cane.

It was Mr. Nathan Harrington.

His hair, now completely white, matched the stoop in his back. His eyes searched Bradley’s face, swirling with emotions too tangled to name. His voice shook as he choked out, “When Darren told me, I didn’t believe it… You… Are you really Brad?”

Bradley lifted his gaze, his cool eyes meeting Mr. Harrington’s.

Charlotte’s words from earlier echoed in his mind: “The past cannot be changed, but the future can still be pursued.” An unexpected ache tightened in his chest.

For years, he had plotted and planned, using his skills to erase any trace that Charlotte was “Shortie.” He’d watched as Darren misunderstood and hurt her, as the Harrington family fell deeper into the traps he set.

He’d thought revenge would set him free. But in the end, even though he’d brought the Harringtons to their knees, he’d lost her.

She’d cut her ties with Darren—and with love itself, including anything she might have felt for Bradley.

In the end, his revenge had left him empty.

Bradley stood and straightened his suit jacket, his expression settling into its usual calm reserve. “Mr. Harrington, my name is Bradley. I’m the head of N-LINK. The Harringtons and I are business rivals. The Brad you speak of—I don’t know him.”

A spasm of pain crossed the old man’s face. “Brad, I know… I know you still blame me. What happened to your mother was my fault—it was the Harrington family who wronged you both…”

Tears welled in his eyes as he tried to let go of his cane and kneel before Bradley.

Bradley stepped forward, catching his arm. “Please, sir, there’s no need for this. You didn’t recognize me at first glance, so let’s keep it that way. From this day on, let’s call the past settled.”

“Can you really… forgive me?” Mr. Harrington’s voice trembled.

Forgive him?
