Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 244

Whether the man could seize this last chance was no longer Bradley’s concern. All he could do was clear up the misunderstanding between them—what happened afterward was up to them.

Bradley and Ryan left the hospital.

Back in the hospital room, Darren had just reached for his phone to call Charlotte when his assistant’s call came through.

“Mr. Harrington, Ms. Lee took four N-LINK professors and headed north for a field expedition! They only informed us after they arrived!”

So they’d rather ask forgiveness than permission—how typical.

Darren’s heart skipped a beat. “The far north? Why would she go there?”

The assistant hurried to explain. “The artificial heart project failed again because we’re missing a rare cryogenic material. She took a specialized team to search for it!”

Darren’s eyes narrowed sharply as he flung back the blanket.

The far north wasn’t just unpredictable and harsh—the lack of government control meant armed gangs often fought for resources. If Charlotte and her team ran into trouble out there, there was no telling what could happen.

Already changing out of his hospital gown, Darren barked an order to the bodyguard at his side.

“Find Charlotte’s current location. Now.”

“Yes, sir!”

A polar blizzard had just passed, leaving only an endless, blinding expanse of white.

Charlotte’s research team had barely finished pitching their temporary camp, ready for much-needed rest, when a low, rumbling engine echoed across the barren snowfield.

A heavily modified off-road vehicle barreled toward them, tires carving deep tracks in the ice.

“Ms. Lee! Could that be—are we about to get robbed?”

No sooner had the words left his mouth than seven or eight men in black tactical jackets leapt from the vehicle. Armed with customized hunting rifles, they fanned out in a loose semicircle, surrounding the camp.

The leader leveled his gun at Charlotte, his icy gaze flickering over the expedition’s national flag patch. He sneered, voice rough with menace.

“Hand over all your food and maybe we’ll let you live.”

In this frozen wasteland, food was as good as life itself—robbery meant a death sentence.
