Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 115

Dean took the phone and swiped open the screen, tapping that all-too-familiar profile picture. As he read what popped up, he was already striding toward his office.

He had barely made it a few steps before a loud crash exploded from inside the CEO’s office, the kind of sound you only hear when something gets slammed down with everything you’ve got.

Every assistant in the department flinched in their seats, shrinking back and holding their breath.

A second later, Dean’s voice tore through the silence, rough and barely contained.

“Leo, get in here. Now!”

Leo jumped and rushed in.

The atmosphere inside the office was suffocating. Dean was standing with his back to the door, both hands gripping the edge of his desk so hard his knuckles were white. On the desk was Leo’s phone, the screen shattered, cracks fanning out in every direction.

Right in the center of the broken screen was Emmy’s most recent social media update.

The old “only visible for three days” line was gone. Her profile was wide open now.

But there was nothing left inside. Every single post, every photo with him, every scrap of their story—gone, wiped out like they’d never happened.

Dean’s eyes locked onto the name “James” on her profile, and his jaw clenched tight.

“Did you find him?” he growled.

Leo hurried over, hands shaking, and handed Dean the tablet.

“Yes, Mr. Sparrow. He’s the chief at South Bay Fire Station.”

Dean took the tablet, scrolling through the details with quick, impatient flicks of his fingers.

“South Bay?” he muttered, his eyes narrowing. “Didn’t I just donate two fire trucks to that station?”

Sweat broke out on Leo’s forehead. His voice dropped to a whisper.

“They turned them down, Mr. Sparrow.”

Dean’s head snapped up, eyes stormy and dark.

“Turned them down?”

Suddenly it all clicked. No wonder the fire trucks got there so fast during that office fire. No wonder that guy had thrown himself into the flames without a second thought.

Was it pride? Or just didn’t want to owe him anything?

Dean’s lips curled in disdain.
