Chapter 12
Jennifer’s face went pale. She hadn’t expected word of this to reach Herman.

She opened her mouth to defend herself, but Herman cut her off. “A doctor should have compassion. You not only pushed the blame after making mistakes, but you also smeared the person who truly saved lives.”
His eyes darkened, his words steady and sharp. “You don’t deserve to be called a doctor. But Dr. Nelson and the two doctors from the traditional medicine department put the patient first.
“They worked decisively with that young woman and saved Miss Brown. They’re the kind of people young doctors should look up to.”
Jennifer nearly collapsed. Her lips trembled, but no words came out.
With the Miracle Surgeon’s words, her career was over. Meanwhile, the three who truly understood traditional medicine had a bright future waiting for them.
“Learn how to treat people right before you learn how to treat diseases.” Gavin’s eyes cut sharply into Jennifer’s pale face, his voice icy. “Take her away. Suspend her for investigation. Tell HR to handle this under the strictest violation rules and send out an industry-wide notice.”
“No, Mr. Hurlbutt… Dr. Preston, I was wrong. I swear I’ll never do it again. Please, don’t kick me out. I can’t afford to lose this job!” Jennifer cried and screamed, struggling desperately.
But the two security guards gagged her and dragged her off. That was the end of her career and everything she’d worked for.
The room went quiet. Herman turned back to Sophie, still unable to stop marveling. He muttered to himself, “With so many critical conditions, to save the spleen without opening the abdomen… This technique, this surgery-it’s beyond anything I’ve ever seen.”
Suddenly, his eyes lit up as if something struck him. “Traditional medicine… To pull off something like this, using golden needles and other instruments to strike at the root of the illness directly-there’s only one person who could ever reach this level.”
His heart raced at the thought that this person might have come to Orlathis City. Excitement and joy were clearly visible on his face.
He was just about to pull out his phone to ask about the person when a frantic voice rang out. “Who is it?”
A man in a white coat rushed over so fast he nearly knocked the phone out of Herman’s hand.
“Who are you talking about?” Windsor’s usually cold, proud face twisted with a mess of emotions-shock, doubt, defeat, and something close to obsession. In his rush, his gold-rimmed glasses even fell to the floor.
He wondered if the person Herman had mentioned could really be Sienna-the sister he had always dismissed as worthless.
She had done something even the Miracle Surgeon couldn’t. Windsor needed an answer-something to explain this blow to everything he thought he knew.
Herman frowned slightly, studying this so-called genius he’d long heard of, now completely losing his composure.
His voice carried deep respect. “Dr. Fairbank, that person is someone I’d bow to on sight and call a master.”
After a pause, he slowly shook his head. “But their name cannot be spoken.”
