Alvin was so shocked that his voice cracked. “Sienna, that lamp behind you is custom-made from overseas, right? And those curtains, those decorations.”

He leaned closer to his camera, practically pressing his face against the screen. “That painting on your wall, and all that stuff -not a single piece looks cheap.”

The level of wealth he was seeing was beyond what even his family, the Fullers-one of the top three families in Orlathis City-could compare with.

“Holy crap, Sienna. You ditched those Fairbank idiots and instantly struck gold,” Alvin muttered in awe.

Honestly, just Sienna’s real identity alone could crush ten thousand Fairbank families.

But thinking about the look on the Fairbanks’ faces once they realized Sienna’s true family was thousands of times more powerful than theirs filled Alvin with smug satisfaction. “Come on, Sienna, spill it. Who are your real parents?”

“What do you want?” Sienna didn’t answer, her voice lazy.

“Nothing big.” Alvin chuckled. “Golden Throne Club just opened a new spot. Come hang out with us. We all heard you left the Fairbank family, and every one of us wants to celebrate with you-celebrate the fact that you don’t have to clean up after those idiots anymore.”

Sienna paused for a second. “Fine.”

“Great. Send me your address. I’ll pick you up tonight.” With that, Alvin hung up happily.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

Sienna opened it and saw Amanda standing there with a diamond-studded jewelry box in her hands, her face plastered with an intimate smile. “Sienna, I hope I’m not disturbing your rest.”

Sienna narrowed her cool, clear eyes and crossed her arms, leaning lazily against the doorframe. “If you’ve got something to say, say it.”

Her distant, impatient tone made Amanda’s smile stiffen for a split second, but she kept it on her face. “You just came back, so as your sister, I wanted to give you a little welcome gift.”

She held out the jewelry box. “These are gifts Dad, Mom, and our brothers picked out for me on my birthdays over the years. They’re meaningful to me, so I chose a few I thought would suit you.”

Her smile was soft, almost tender. “That way, you’ll also have birthday gifts from Dad, Mom, and our brothers. I hope you’ll like them.”

Her words sounded like she truly wanted to get along with Sienna, but there was a hint of pride between the lines, as if she were saying, “Look at how much the Cooper family loves me. I have what you’ll never have.”

“Thanks, but no.” Sienna didn’t want to waste her time, so she turned back toward her room.

Amanda’s smile froze again. Her fingers tightened on the jewelry box.

Seeing the door about to close, she quickly stepped forward, her eyes going red with grievance. “Sienna, did I do something wrong? Why are you upset with me? I really want to get along with you. I don’t want to be an outsider in this house.”

Her voice trembled, sounding pitiful and tearful.

Sienna’s gaze stayed cool. Her voice was thin and sharp as ice. “You know exactly what you’re thinking. I’m not going to play along with you”

The blunt words pierced Amanda like a blade. Anger flared inside her, but she forced herself to keep her gentle mask. “Sienna, how could you say that about me-

“Amanda. Sienna’s voice cut her off coldly. Her eyes narrowed.

Amanda had been raised with love and care from their parents. After nearly twenty years together, day and night, of course, feelings grew-even if it had been a dog.
