The farm didn’t produce anything this time.

She decided she’d test that theory later–maybe by feeding it another mutant carcass and seeing what the system did.

Since there were no crops today, she took a big cabbage from Farm Two and moved it to Farm One as an experiment.

She wanted to see if a vegetable that came from the storage system would change after being “enhanced” again.

The animals in the pasture were lively as ever.

Every morning, Caroline came to check on them, collecting whatever side products they made.

She noticed something strange–these animals grew way faster here than normal.

Take the llama, for example. She had just sheared it three days ago, and already it was ready for another haircut.

She stored the wool away for now.

The system hadn’t unlocked a feature to spin the wool into fabric or blankets yet, but she was sure it would one day.

Finally, Caroline walked over to the JunkEater.

That little machine had been doing great lately, producing all kinds of things.

Smiling, she opened it up to see today’s reward.

Her smile froze. Inside was a single glove–and one sock.

Caroline almost wanted to throw the JunkEater out the window.

If it could take human form, she’d have gladly slapped it across the face and asked, “You think this is funny?”

After packing everything up, she decided to do something useful instead of fuming.

She still had two safes she hadn’t opened–both from Big Bro Supreme’s private office.

They were the heavy–duty kind she couldn’t cut through before.

Today, Caroline decided to put in some real effort and cut open the last two high–security safes.

Grabbing her chainsaw and a few tools, Caroline dragged the two half–human–tall safes out of the storage space.

Outside, Jet was napping on top of Raven’s head.

The two didn’t even blink when she appeared out of nowhere–they were used to her vanishing acts by now.

Caroline chose an empty room, closed the door tightly, and started working. She didn’t want the loud noise to hurt the sensitive ears of her pets.

The weird thing about the storage space was that no electrical tools worked inside it, so she had to do all this outside.

She tied her hair back and got to work.

It took her nearly an hour just to cut a small opening in the first safe.

“What the heck is in here that needs such thick metal?” She muttered, wiping sweat from her forehead and lowering the furnace heat nearby.

Then she peeked through the gap.

Her jaw dropped. She saw stacks of paper. Just documents.

She stared at them for a long second, then sighed. “Well,” she said, “I already cut it open. Might as well see what’s inside.”

After fiddling with it for a while, she finally managed to open a small section of the storage
