Chapter 168 The Trade for Medicine
Nathaniel looked at Caroline, waiting for her answer.
Caroline’s grandmother had indeed been a famous alternative medicine practitioner.
But after Lance passed away, she grieved too much and died not long after.
Caroline nodded slightly at Nathaniel in front of her.

After thinking for a moment, she replied, “That potion isn’t some remedy I found outside. It was left by my grandmother before she died. I don’t know the recipe. When this disaster came, I got hurt too, and all the potion is used up.”
A look of disappointment crossed Nathaniel’s face.
Caroline couldn’t give Nathaniel the spring water.
Its power was too extreme.
Even diluted, it was stronger than ordinary medicine and could almost cure any illness.
And by saying it was left by her grandmother, Caroline wanted to completely stop Nathaniel from asking for more.
But she smiled and said, “But I do have another medicine, also left by my grandmother. It’s very effective for bruises and injuries. Would you be interested?”
Caroline was talking about the healing cream from her storage space.
She had studied all the products in the storage space.
Canned rabbit was just canned rabbit, while socks were just ordinary socks.
There was nothing special about them.
They just worked really well.
She had used the healing cream on Raven, and it worked well. It had a strong herbal smell, dark in color, and worked nicely, but it wasn’t some miracle cure or anything.
It was perfect for doing business with Nathaniel.
Nathaniel looked interested and smiled. “Not bad, not bad. How much do you have?”

Caroline smiled back. “Not too much. There aren’t many raw materials now, and I need to save some just in case. I can give you about five jars.”
Nathaniel immediately agreed. “I’ll take it. I won’t check the goods. Bring them over, and I’ll make sure you get a fair deal.”
Caroline smiled brightly.
“So, what do you want in exchange for these life–saving jars?” he asked, still grinning.
Caroline had been thinking the same thing.
She wasn’t short on supplies right now, and she had ways to get more, like the trades with Niko.
Caroline said, “I’d like some herbs, ones that can be grown. Any kind will do.”
She had a reason for this.
Field One and Two in her storage space always had surprises.
Medicinal plants were rare in the apocalypse, and she could grow and make medicine later.
“The military does have a research institute that preserves some herbs and grows them. That won’t be difficult.”
So Caroline and Nathaniel reached an agreement and were both satisfied.
Afterward, Caroline went back to get the promised five jars of healing cream.
Actually, these had always been in her storage space. She had produced them when she had free time.
She had five jars exactly.
Speaking of which, those two soil beetles that came out of the trash machine in her storage space were insanely productive!
In no time, they’d filled up two cabinets, and they were still multiplying.
Their productivity was off the charts.
The first two beetles were noticeably larger than the ones that came later. They were definitely the elders of the cabinet.
