She then went to the next room and found it full of steel materials.

Those were not useful right now, but when the government started rebuilding, things like steel and metal would become priceless. They would collect everything they could, even down to a single screw.

The building had two elevators and four units per floor, with the rooms varying in size.

The bigger ones were over two thousand square feet, and the smaller ones were still over a thousand.

In the smallest room on this floor, Caroline found a pile of ceramics.

They were gorgeous, but not exactly practical, so she did not bother taking them.

When she walked into the last room, though, she spotted rows of wooden crates filled with packed motorcycles.

She raised a brow. Maybe she could trade these for something good with Francis?

Without hesitation, she stored them in her space.

After sweeping through all four rooms on this floor, Caroline decided to move up.

She would save the lower levels for last, since the acid rain might have already eaten away most of them.

Raven stayed close beside her, alert and sniffing the air like he had caught something.

Caroline gave his head a gentle pat. “Smell something?”

Raven suddenly froze, ears perked, listening intently.

However, his face was full of confusion, as if whatever he sensed had vanished.

They were on the stairs to the 16th floor now, the door to it right ahead.

Seeing Raven’s reaction made Caroline tense up too.

After a moment, Raven seemed to decide there was nothing there and stepped forward.

When she stepped inside, she froze. The room was filled–wall to wall–with furs.

Bear pelts, deer hides, even tiger skins. Some were clearly from rare animals.

“These must be illegal,” Caroline muttered, frowning as she walked through the room. No wonder Big Bro Supreme had turned this place into a secret cargo hub–it was all shady. business.

Most of those animals probably had not survived the catastrophe anyway.

Caroline sighed, running her hand gently over the soft fur before storing everything away in

her space.

The bear and tiger skins were especially smooth–too good to waste..

She decided to use them later, one for her bed and another for Raven’s sleeping spot.

As for Jet, she eyed a pale deer hide as it matched his feathers perfectly. Maybe she would make him a cozy perch from it.

Just as she was about to leave, something caught her eye–a small box tucked away in the

corner.

If she had not been looking closely, she would have missed it.

The box was about a foot long and a foot high, sealed with a bronze lock.
