Chapter 220 Fire and Chaos
Then came a blast of fire that shot into the sky!
Caroline watched in shock as a villa right in front of her exploded.
The guards patrolling nearby ran toward the flames.
But even with the chaos, the rest of the guards didn’t leave their posts. They stayed sharp and ready, their weapons drawn.
The people who had been singing and dancing moments ago suddenly pulled out guns.
The whole area turned into a mess of shouting, gunfire, and running feet.
But Tyler was nowhere to be seen.
Caroline scanned the scene, but she didn’t catch a glimpse of him.
The fire burned hotter and wilder. The wind and snow carried sparks to nearby houses.
Caroline saw one spark land on the curtain of a villa nearby, and it caught fire.
Inside was one of the dancers she’d seen earlier.
The woman screamed, trying to put out the flames with whatever she could grab.
Then, a hand with a glove appeared behind her, covering her mouth and pulling her away.
Caroline saw it clearly. She recognized the glove; it had to be Tyler.
Moments later, the dancer was gone. Tyler appeared at the window, holding a can of gasoline, pouring it all over the house.
Soon the entire villa burst into flames.
That villa must’ve been where the dancers lived. They ran out screaming, their shrill voices cutting through the storm.
Caroline couldn’t help but think. This is so sick!
This organization was well–trained and disciplined.
Their leader had to be smart, maybe even brilliant. No wonder they weren’t afraid to stand

to the army.
But their singers and dancers they kept were weak and terrified.
By burning their quarters, Tyler had thrown everything into chaos.

Sure enough, those women were crying and begging for help, pulling at anyone nearby to save their burning villa.
Several guards rushed to help, leaving their posts behind.
And just like that, Tyler disappeared again.
But Caroline knew him well enough now. That guy was definitely up to something.
The snowstorm grew heavier. The moon vanished behind thick clouds. The night swallowed everything in darkness.
Suddenly, a deep, booming voice roared through the base, echoing from a loudspeaker.
“Everyone, back to your posts! Squad One, handle the fire! The rest of you, hold your positions! Don’t let those intruders take advantage of the chaos. Guard every corner!”
Under the man’s command, the panic quickly turned violent. Caroline saw several burly men grab the frightened singers and wandering guards who weren’t in place. Slaps cracked through the air–loud, sharp, and merciless.
Meanwhile, a group with firefighting gear rushed toward the burning villa.
Within a few minutes, the chaos began to calm.
Caroline’s heart was pounding.
Still, there was no sign of Tyler.
Then, out of the flickering smoke and fire, she spotted a tall, thin boy wearing nothing but torn clothes. His body was covered in bruises.
She couldn’t be sure at first, but the next moment, she knew.
That boy must be Denton.
The loudspeaker blared again, this time filled with rage. “Coward! You came here to save him, right? Think I don’t know you’ve tried this before? And you burned down my house to get him! You little piece of shit! I’ll gut you alive! Once I’m done, you’ll tell me where your people hide

their supplies! Son of a bitch!”
Through her night–vision scope, Caroline saw the man who was gripping Denton kick him hard to the ground.
Then, he pulled out his gun.
Caroline froze, breath caught in her throat.
And then–BOOM!
Everything went black.
The entire compound lost power. In an instant, the lights died, and darkness swallowed everything.
Gunshots followed, echoing across the base, mixed with screams and shouting.
