apter 229 Wipe Out the Lowlands
She excitedly hit the “Create” button.
In a flash, the elephant hide armor was ready.
When the random animals made byproducts here, they didn’t actually lose anything or get hurt. It was like the storage space just generated stuff on its own, and the animals were more like decorations.
Caroline picked up the armor and went dead silent.
This thing is so … ugly.
It looked so bad that she had to wonder if her eyes were fine.
The texture was rough, like cracked tree bark, and the shape was uneven and awkward. The cutting job was terrible.
When she tried it on, it hung on her like a potato sack.
Worse, it was massive. She could barely move her arms, so fighting in it was totally out of the question.
Still, something that could save her life once? That was worth keeping.
If she ever got seriously injured, she could toss that thing on and might survive.
But since it could only be used once, she knew she had to save it for the right moment.
Even though she had complaints, Caroline carefully stored away her new life–saving gear.
She turned to check the random animal section, her eyes full of hope, wondering if she might score another one the next day.
But Jasper instantly burst her bubble. “Don’t even think about it. Tomorrow is the elephant’s last day here. After that, a new animal comes in. If you want more cool stuff from storage, you need to upgrade it! Ugh, I’m starving!”
Caroline rolled her eyes. Every single sentence out of his mouth was either about food or upgrading storage.
Then, she remembered that Francis‘ shipment of mutant cockroach corpses should be showing up today.

Over in the livestock area, that dinosaur egg she’d placed still hadn’t done a thing. Days had gone by without a single byproduct.
Caroline guessed the storage space might need extra energy to wake up
After that, she wandered to the trash machine.
Today’s haul was pretty basic–just two boxes of instant noodles.
the dinosaur egg.
A few days back, when Jasper had helped her sort through storage, it spat out a pair of gloves.
When she tried them on, they were super warm, and she could tell they were made from something special, maybe even functional.
Of course, the two gloves didn’t match again.
But compared to the red–and–green socks from last time, those were a real upgrade. One had SpongeBob on it, the other Popeye.
After organizing everything, Caroline grabbed some healing spring water and acid rain, planning to soak with Raven and Jet.
If Snow behaved herself, she might let her join as well.
But since Snow had gotten poop and pee all over her butt in the morning, Caroline was still scarred from the experience. So she filled a small tub outside just for her.
Naturally, Snow didn’t want to bathe alone. She kept trying to jump into Jet and Raven’s tubs.
Jet flapped his wings angrily, squawking nonstop.
Tyler had already washed Snow earlier, but as soon as she got into the water, all kinds of nasty, stinky stuff started floating around.
Her whole tub was a disaster.
Whenever Snow tried to climb out, Raven would smack her back in with his paw.
Jet got splashed and started swearing again.
It was chaos.
Caroline leaned against her tub with a sigh, watching the three of them go wild. Honestly, it was kind of fun to watch.
