Chapter 232 Their Plan
His voice sounded weak, like he was repeating what someone else had told him.
“Colonel Leonard, do you think I’m stupid? You just pull out a kid to take the blame for the Lowlands! Can he even point out who Commander Ball is? Does he understand what’s going
on here?!”
Francis slammed his foot down in anger.
But Philip stuck to his story that Harvey was the one who ordered Nathaniel’s hit.
He even told Francis to stop wasting time and take the kid away.
In the end, Francis lost his cool and reached for his gun.
Philip kicked Francis down. “Francis, calm down! I know Commander Ball is like a father to you, but look at the situation of the world! Commander Zimmer favors the Lowlands because they actually do things for us. If you wipe them out, you’re cutting one of his forces. Hornvale would fall into chaos!”
Francis fell silent.
Caroline, standing nearby, couldn’t hold back.
She realized Francis was different. If no one interfered, he’d probably have stormed in, arrested the men who hurt Nathaniel, and sent the rest to hard labor.
There might be trouble later, but he could handle it.
But with the commander, Andrew Zimmer, backing the Lowlands, Francis couldn’t act openly.
“Tyler, looks like Francis can’t do anything about it,” Caroline whispered, tugging Tyler a bit farther away.
He nodded slightly and stayed quiet, though he could see the determination in her eyes. He knew exactly what she meant.
“We’re doing this ourselves tonight.”
Caroline nodded back. “Yep, that’s the plan.”
Francis got basically shut out.

He was annoyed with Harvey, the underage kid the Lowlands shoved forward to take the blame.
Everyone could tell Harvey hadn’t ordered Gaylord to do anything.
But Francis only managed to grab Harvey and nothing else.
Still, he couldn’t bring himself to go after a kid under 18.
Frustrated, he sent Harvey off to hard labor in the rear area and left the rest to fate.
Meanwhile, Caroline and Tyler told Francis they weren’t going to follow him back.
Francis‘ eyes
lit up.
“Do you two…”
They didn’t say anything, but their smiles made their plans clear.
“Oh man, we all think the same thing. Count me in!”
Caroline saw the mischief and the seriousness in Francis‘ face. He meant it.
“I’ll find whoever ordered that bastard to hurt Commander Ball. I’ll shoot him dead!” Francis hissed through his teeth.
Caroline glanced at Tyler, who gave a quiet nod.
Her target was Erica.
Erica had pushed her too far many times. She couldn’t let her stick around any longer.
Tyler hadn’t said his goal out loud, but Caroline guessed it had something to do with his mother.
They were on the same page just like that.
When night fell, Caroline, Tyler, Francis–dressed in black–and Raven, who moved almost soundlessly, crept toward the two villas of Lowland Residence,
They paused by a decorative rock near the villas.
Seeing the heavy security, Tyler signaled for Francis and Caroline to wait, then slipped away in
a flash.
