Chapter 233 He Has to Die
Caroline had met Heidi a few times. She was a single woman who took excellent care of herself and looked stunning–always one of Hornvale’s socialites.
Before the apocalypse, Caroline had heard rumors that Heidi was pregnant, but no one knew who the father was.
“Heidi… Heidi is in the second room on the right, second floor.”
Caroline glanced at Tyler, surprised that Heidi was his target, but there wasn’t time to ask why.
She asked Edward seriously, “What about Harry? Where is he?”
She figured Harry was the brains of the Lowlands now. He was bold and smart.
She suspected he was the one who made Harvey take the fall. Harry was ruthless enough to sacrifice his little brother.
But it made sense. Harvey was only 15, weak and helpless. He was just a youngster who needed protection.
Isaac, though, was in his 40s and strong. If the Lowlands wanted to survive and rebuild, they’d need guys like him.
“Harry … isn’t in the villa. He drove to the east–side shelter about half an hour ago,” Edward stammered, terrified but answering quickly.
A car had indeed left the residence about 30 minutes earlier, but the three of them hadn’t seen who was inside.
Caroline frowned, caught in a difficult spot. If Harry escaped, the Lowlands could rise again. But Erica was still at the villa as well.
After a quick think, Caroline decided to split from the group and chase Harry.
“Tonight, Harry has to die.”
She planned to deal with Harry first, then come back for Erica, who wasn’t much of a fighter. They set the plan and split up. Tyler knocked Edward out cold and tossed him into the snow.
Edward hadn’t attacked them, but he was still the Lowlands‘ lackey. He probably did a lot of shady stuff. They left his fate to the cold.

Once Tyler and Francis slipped into Lowland Residence, Caroline told Raven, “Unlock the mount feature.”
Raven’s
eyes lit
He finally had some real running in the snow. At her command, he doubled in size to about pony–level, then squatted for her to hop on.
Caroline swung her leg over and patted his neck. “Go! Catch that car!”
The snow was slick, and the car had only left half an hour ago–maybe ten miles ahead. But Raven was faster than any vehicle in the snow.
Raven shook his fur and set off.
It was Caroline’s first time riding him outside at full speed. Before, they’d only jogged around
the house.
Wind blasted past her face; her eyes watered from the speed. They had to be doing at least 60 mph.
She pulled out the goggles from the storage space and put them on. Through the goggles, the blizzard streaked by as Raven and she became a tiny black dot in all that white.
She kept low and gripped Raven’s neck.
After a while, she saw tire tracks and had Raven follow them. Soon enough, the car appeared ahead.
It was a black, modified off–roader with snow chains, plowing through the drifts.
