Alicia Lawrence pinched the card in her fingers and said, “I don’t do fake ads.”

Lilah quickly responded, “It’s not fake, really. This product works, but because it’s plant–based, the results aren’t instant. You have to use it over time. But, the best part? No side effects at all.”

Alicia mused, ‘She knows so many celebrities. Wouldn’t it be quicker and more effective to hire one of them for advertising?‘

She said, “If you want to promote your product, you should really get a celebrity to endorse it–works way better. Or are you just trying to save some cash and figured I’d be the cheaper option?”

Lilah laughed, “You’re not wrong. Celebrities do cost more, but here’s the thing–I want people to use my product because it’s genuinely good, not because some influencer said so.

“Otherwise, people would just buy it to show off and never actually use it. That kind of defeats the purpose, don’t you think?”

Alicia nodded. “I’ll try it out first.”

“Awesome. I’ll give you two sets to start with,” Lilah replied. “See how it works for you, and we’ll chat after.”

“Okay,” Alicia nodded.

They swapped contacts, and Lilah handed Alicia the priciest two sets they had, giving her detailed instructions on how to use them and how much she should apply.

After hearing all that, Alicia grinned and asked, “You really trust me not to just disappear with your products?”

Alicia nodded. “Okay, I’ll test them out.”

“Just remember to keep at it,” Lilah added. “Don’t be the type who gets excited for a couple days and then totally forgets.”

Alicia agreed, and with both sets in hand, she headed upstairs, with Edward following behind.

Edward couldn’t believe it–they just walked out with two sets of high–end skincare from a big mall, and not a single cent was spent. ‘Guess it’s because Alicia is so charming, Edward thought, smiling to himself.

Once they reached the second floor, Alicia picked out several outfits for Edward to try on.

They ended up visiting four stores and trying on over twenty different pieces. The first two stores had some high–quality clothes, all chosen by Alicia. But they were expensive.

Edward didn’t buy anything there. Finally, he picked a more reasonably priced outfit at the last store and asked the salesperson to pack it up.

When they went to pay, Alicia knew that no matter what, Edward would never let her pay. She didn’t want to argue with him in the store, so she decided to just let him handle it.

She told him she was going to the bathroom, and he nodded as he followed the salesperson to the counter.

Alicia then slipped back to the first two stores and bought the two outfits she had thought looked great on him, spending five thousand without hesitation.

For most people, that kind of price tag was pretty steep.

At first, the salespeople had grumbled when Alicia and Edward didn’t buy anything after trying on so many clothes. But now that Alicia returned and bought those expensive outfits, their attitudes completely changed.

One of them said, “Older folks like to save every penny, so they never want to spend much on clothes. But it’s the younger generation’s job to be thoughtful. I do that for my grandparents too. I don’t even tell them the real price.

Alicia just gave a polite smile and didn’t say anything. She paid quickly, grabbed her bags, and headed out.

By the time Edward finished buying his clothes, Alicia called him and said she’d be waiting out front for him.

She knew if she walked in with all the shopping bags, he’d probably make her return everything. Either way, everything was bought, and it was time to head home.

When they met at the door, Edward didn’t notice the extra bags right away. It was only when they got home, and Alicia put the clothes on the table, that he realized what had happened.

He had seen the prices when he tried the clothes on earlier. Now, seeing them laid out in front of him, he frowned. “Alicia, why did you buy these? I told you I didn’t want them. These cost a fortune.”
