His Private Chef (by Amycee) novel Chapter 100

Chapter 100

Depends how hard you try,

I kissed him.

Hard. Like I wanted to forget the world. Like I wanted to burn everything that wasn’t us.

He kissed me back.

Like he needed me just to breathe.

When we broke apart, breathless and trembling, I whispered, Nowanswer me. Who is she?

He chuckled, low and deep, backing away.

Emily, you really think one kiss is enough for me to tell you that?

He walked to his closet, and I followed him, quiet but smiling.

If he thought one little smirk and a cryptic line would throw me off

He clearly forgot who he was dealing with.

He thinks this is a game.

Fine. I’ll play.

Let him keep his secrets.

I’ll seduce them out of him.

He opened the closet like I wasn’t standing there.

I leaned against the doorway, arms folded, watching him flip through shirts with cold precision. Like we hadn’t just kissed in a way that could’ve torn the sky in half.

He pulled out a black tee, dragged it over his head.

And I said it.

Why are you bothering with that shirt when you’re going to take it off in five minutes?

He paused. Turned. Eyes sweeping over me with quiet menace.

Then came the smirk.

Is that so?

I didn’t even blink. Just smiled, sharp and slow. You tell me.

He closed the distance between us with maddening grace.

His voice dropped, low and charged. What makes you think you’re going to win this game you’re playing?

I ran a finger down his chest. Oh, Liam. You’re the one playing. I already won. I’m just entertaining your ego because I’m generous like that.

He exhaled a soft laugh, but something burned behind his eyes. You really think you’re in control?

Do you know who I dressed for tonight?I whispered.

Silence.

You. The lingerie underneath? Your favorite color. The perfume? You once said it made you want to sin. And yeah, I shavedeverywhere. Just how you like it.

His jaw tightened.

I could make you forget every drink in your system. Every girl before me. The excuses you cling to just to stay in control.

I leaned in, lips grazing his ear. So tell mewho is she?

A muscle jumped in his cheek. You want to do this?

I’m already doing it.

His hand gripped my waist. Tight.

That dress,he rasped, should be illegal. I wanted to bend you over the nearest surface the second I saw you. Ruin you. Fuck you until your legs gave out. Make this body scream the way only I know how.

My pulse stuttered, heat curling between my legs.

I was caught somewhere between want and war.

But I didn’t fold.

You can do all that,I breathed, after you answer the question.

His laugh was a low threat. Not happening.

Then we play it my way.

I reached up, unpinned my hair. Let it fall. His eyes darkened.

Who’s she?

No answer.

I turned. Pulled the zipper down. The dress slid to the floor and collapsed at my feet.

All that was left was red lace.

His favorite.

He didn’t move. Just stared. Like he was starving and I was everything he’d ever wanted on a silver platter.

Still, silent.

I walked to him, every step a dare. My lips skimmed his cheek.

This is the part where you tell me who the fuck she is, or I pick up my dress and leave like none of this happened.

Two seconds. Three.

He caved.
