His Untamed Rose novel Chapter 137

“Huh?” Lumina hadn’t noticed anything unusual at first. She craned her neck to glance out the back window.

It was just a regular taxi, but in the passenger seat sat Linus, his face set in a severe expression.

Her own face darkened.

Persistent as a ghost, she thought irritably.

“Want me to lose him?” Soren caught her annoyed look in the mirror. He didn’t bother asking who it was—just pressed his foot down on the gas. “Hang on.”

Soren was a skilled driver, especially on these familiar foreign streets. With a few sharp turns and effortless drifts, he left the taxi—and Linus—far behind.

Ten minutes later, Linus stood alone on an empty street, dazed.

He’d just watched Lumina make a call to some man, who soon arrived in a luxury car and stopped in front of her.

The man wrapped a scarf around her neck with practiced intimacy, took her hand, and led her away.

Linus had kept his distance, so he hadn’t gotten a good look at the man’s face.

But it took him a long moment to process what he’d seen.

As the shock wore off, he found himself feeling vaguely sorry for the man back in Banyan Town who was still worried about Lumina.

She’d cut Cedric off without a second thought, and in just a month, she’d already found someone new to rely on.

Linus didn’t judge people for moving on quickly—he just felt a flicker of sympathy for Cedric.

...

That very night after returning home, Linus was summoned to see Cedric.

He’d known, as soon as Cedric’s men marched him into the private club, that the situation with Stella wasn’t over.
