Cameron didn’t say another word. He just stepped aside, phone already at his ear as he called his guys.
Nathan watched him go, the lazy grin on his face fading into something colder. He’d seen it all—Cameron aiming his car right at Amelia, no hesitation, no accident.
Honestly, what a joke. Rich kid behavior at its worst.
Nathan raised an eyebrow, his look dripping with annoyance. That’s why, without a second thought, he slammed on the gas and rammed Cameron’s car from behind. It was no accident on his part either.
If Cameron wanted to play tough and pick on women, fine. Nathan would give him a taste of his own medicine. And he wasn’t stopping there—he planned to tell on him, too.
Nathan pulled out his phone and called Ryan.
“Ryan, you will not believe what just happened—”

Across town, a taxi rolled to a stop outside Cloudcrest. Amelia climbed out, wincing a little as she straightened up, and started toward the building.
A white Bentley pulled up right then, perfectly timed. Even if she didn’t care about cars, Amelia knew that one—Clive’s.
Clive got out from the driver’s side, and a second later, the passenger door swung open—Kristen stepped out, arms full of takeout pastry boxes. Looked like they’d gone out for lunch together. Again.
They came around from opposite sides, gradually walking closer until they were side by side. Kristen said something that made Clive lean down to hear her, a small smile on his lips.
Just as they reached the front doors, Kristen tripped on her heel and stumbled, grabbing onto Clive’s arm for balance. Clive reacted instantly, his long arm wrapping around her waist, steadying her and practically pulling her into his arms.
Amelia’s eyes turned icy cold.
Could this day get any worse?
She looked away, face blank, and headed straight for the side entrance. She had no interest in crossing paths with them right now.
