Karma Doesn’t Sleep: The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 241

Amelia grinned. “Okay.”

After she hung up, Diana was in such a great mood that she decided to be nice to everyone on set. Even the second male lead—the one who kept botching his lines—got a rare smile from her.

Since her company had taken over her main Twitter, Diana pulled out her personal socials while waiting backstage and posted a cheerful song: “Good Day.” On a whim, she even fished Clive out of her long-neglected blocklist and tagged him, telling him to give it a listen.

Meanwhile, Amelia got herself together and headed out to meet Andrew at the law firm.

Before she went downstairs, she stopped by Penny’s room.

Penny was sprawled out on her bed, legs swinging in the air, recording a voice message on her phone. “Momma Kristen, are you feeling better? Does it still hurt...?”

Her voice was so sweet, way softer than she ever used with Amelia, her actual mom.

Amelia’s hand hovered at the door, then dropped. For a moment she just stood there, her heart heavy, before quietly turning away and leaving.

When she stepped out the front door, she nearly bumped into Aiden, who was rushing up, out of breath and sweating.

Amelia paused, surprised. “Aiden?”

“Oh, thank God, ma’am, you’re home!” Aiden panted, wiping his brow.

She’d always thought Aiden was a good guy.

She smiled kindly. “Is something wrong? You look like you ran all the way here.”

Aiden held out a beautifully wrapped box. “Mr. Salmeron asked me to bring this to you. He said I had to put it right in your hands.”

Amelia took the box and opened it. Inside was a stunning diamond necklace, every gem sparkling like crazy.

It was the same designer as the bracelet Kristen had gotten.

This thing had to be worth at least half a million.

Amelia let out a small, bitter laugh.
