I sat there shaking in fear

What happened to his arms? Why were they bleeding? And why was he this angry at me?

Alpha Ethan?” I asked, my voice trembling despite my best efforts to sound strong, He didn’t answer. He just stood there by the doorway, his towering frame blocking the little light from the corridor. His shirt was torn at the sleeves, blood dripping from his forearms, and his eyes, dear goddess, were void of any warmth, it looks could kill, I would probably have been granted my only request, death a Sweet, peaceful death.

“You’re happy now, aren’t you?” he finally said, his voice a low growl, like a thunderstorm rumbling in the distance I blink in confusion. “What!”

“What are you talking about?” I asked, baffled, pushing myself upright on the bed, ignoring the throbbing ache in my ribs and the burning sting in my shoulder. “What plans?”

But the guards were already by my sides, gripping my arms roughly, dragging me toward

As they hauled me away, my heart broke in silence.

And just before I crossed the threshold out of the room, I saw it his hand trembling

I was dragged out by the guards as they passed through the hallway and into the cell room. My head was spinning, but I was aware i didn’t want to be in that cell anymore.

I didn’t, I screamed out in pain, but no one cared to listen. When we got to the cell, they opened it and threw me in like a rag doll.

The both of them looked at me with pitiful eyes before locking the cell and walking away

I sat there as Alpha Ethan’s words replayed:

Maybe he was right. Because right then, more tears flowed freely from my eyes. If my mother hadn’t died while having me, maybe I wouldn’t have been

I would have had a mother’s love, her care, and her attention. Maybe I wouldn’t be feeling it this much. But fate had other plans by taking her the very second I was born, leaving me to a cruel father and now a male who doesn’t even know of my existence

I curled into myself on the cold, unforgiving floor, bugging my knees tightly as the shadows of the cell seemed to close in on me.

The silence was suffocating, only broken by the sound of my ragged breathing and the ache in my chest that grew louder than the screams I had swallowed.
