Chapter 114
Chapter 114
Raven POV
I woke up to strong arms wrapped tightly around me.
Slowly, Lopened my eyes, only to wince as sunlight filtered harshly through the curtains, stabbing at my vision, “Shit,” I muttered, raising a hand to shield my eyes. I blinked away the brightness, adjusting to the morning light, and when I turned to the other side, I froze
Alpha Ethan was lying beside me.
Even in his sleep, he clung to me like I was something precious he couldn’t afford to lose
His face was so peaceful, free from the sharp anger that usually clouded his features. There was no scowl, no biting glare, no cold indifference
Just calmness. For a second, I could pretend the world was different. That I wasn’t a prisoner. That he wasn’t my formentor.
Maybe he’s acknowledging us… my wolf whispered softly, her voice gentle and filled with hope
Ishook my head. He doesn’t even know we’re mates, I snapped at her. Snap out of your dream world.
Still, I couldn’t deny what I felt. Last night… the way he touched me, the way he looked at me, there was something more than lust. Something deeper. Something tow
My gaze wandered down to his bare chest, the steady rise and fall of his breathing soothing in a way I hated to admit.
His hand was still splayed over my waist, anchoring me to him he feared id disappear if he let go.
And then it hit me
Last night was…the best fuck of my life.
I swallowed hard, feeling heat rise to my cheeks as memories surged back like a tidal wave.
The way he kissed me like he was starved, the way he moved inside me like he knew every part of my soul. The way he whispered my name like it meant something.
God.
I shouldn’t be feeling like this.
I shouldn’t be missing his touch already.
With a shaky breath, I reached out and touched his face. My fingers brushed against his cheek, tracing the sharp line of his jaw, the stubble that had grown faintly overnight. My chest tightened painfully.
So this was what Olivia had been enjoying for the past six years?
Six years of this man’s passion?
Six years of his possessive touches, his intense kisses, his dominance?
Jealousy, hot and thick, churned in my stomach.
She had all of him his nights, his body, his power while I had crumbs. I was the hidden secret, the shadow in the dark corners of his world.
And even now, when he held melko this, it wasn’t out of love. It was control Lust. Atwisted need he hadn’t even named yet.

Chapter 114
I carefully pried his arm of me and slipped out of the bed, moving silently across the room.
I picked up my nightgown from the foot and slid it on with practiced ease. My hair was a mess, and my body was sore in places I did know could be sore, but I didn’t let myself think too furd about that
I needed to get out before Hast myself again.
My eyes scanned the room one last time, and then I noticed the table.
On it lay a few sheets of paper, one of which was slightly curled at the edge, Curious, I walked over and picked it up.
Hroze.
It was the agreement.
The one I asked for. The one I demanded last night before I gave him my body
My eyes skimmed the lines quickly it was all there. The clause that stated my death sentence would be lifted. That I would serve another punishment instead of being sentenced to death according to the law.
He had it prepared, and he signed it.
With trembling fingers, I picked up the pen lying nearby and signed my name in bold, defiant strokes. It was done,
No turning back now.
1 dropped the pen, took a deep breath, and turned for the door,
Two guards were waiting outside. They didn’t say a word as I stepped out; they only exchanged a brief glance and flanked me silently. One of them nodded at me and motioned down the hallway.
Time to retum to my cage.
Time to wait for the judgment that might still claim my life.
The cell felt colder today. Maybe it was the contrast of the warmth f’d just left behind. The way his as had cocooned me. The way his presence had made me feel, even if it was all a lie.
I curled upon the hard bench, my eyes staring blankly at the grey wall in front of me. My heart was beating fast, every second dragging like an hour. Was the agreement enough? Would he honor it in public? Or was it just another tactic to bend me?
Hours passed. Maybe more. I couldn’t tell anymore.
Then came the heavy
vy sound of boots
Two guards. Again.
But this time, they didn’t come with silence.
One of them grabbed my arm.
“No need to drag me,” I muttered, standing up on my own.
They led me through the hallways, past other guards and past maids who lowered their pares. Some of them stared with pity, others with judgment. I didn’t care. My head was held high
I was Raven, And I wouldn’t break

Even if they hung me, I would not beg
The double doors of the council room loomed ahead, and my heart thoided painfully.
When they opened, the entire from was already filled.
5651
Council members in their elaborate robes. Pack members. Curious eyes. Angry ones. Olivia sat near the front, dressed! pulled back in an elegant twist. Her face was unreadable, but her eyes sparkled with quiet triumph.
Luna the was, her hair
She thought I was finished.
I was dragged to the center again, like a criminal. My hands were shackled this time. My feet chained. They wanted to humiliate me.
One of the elders stood.
His voice boomed through the room, reading the charges once again.
“Raven, of no rank, born to an unknown bloodline, was found guilty of treachery against the pack. Caught outside pack territory unlawfully. Found amidst the aftermath of a brutal attack, coincidences are too dangerous to ignore. The evidence of her betrayal stands clear
As stated in the ancient law, treason is punishable by death, by hanging.”
Chaos erupted.
Some members of the court gasped.
Others shouted.
*She deserves it!” one man roared. “She’s cursed!”
