Chapter 15
Alpha Ethan’s POV
I was shocked to see her in the room. I quickly grabbed a towel from the door frame and wrapped it around my waist. Her gaze was still fixed on me
“What the hell are you doing here?” I asked, my voice harsher than intended. Her eyes widened, and she flinched slightly at the tone. She clutched a tray to her chest like a shield.
“1-1 came to call the Luna for dinner,” she stammered, her voice soft, breathless. Her eyes darted nervously to the floor. “She… she asked me to let her know when the meal was ready.”
My jaw clenched. I didn’t like how my heart pounded just from looking at her. She wasn’t supposed to be here. And she wasn’t supposed to look at me like that—like she didn’t know whether to run or fall to her knees. My wolf stirred, unsettled.
“Next time,” I growled, stepping closer, “you knock first. Understand?”
“Yes, Alpha,” she whispered, dipping her head.
But I wasn’t done with her. Not after what just happened. Not after she stood there, wide–eyed, cheeks flushed, clearly having seen all of me She may have tried to look away, but I saw the way her pupils dilated. The way her breathing quickened.
It wasn’t just embarrassment. It was something more.
“You saw me naked,” I said, my voice low, deadly calm.
Her eyes flew to mine, lips parting.
“I–I didn’t mean to, I swear!” she cried, stepping back.
“Still,” I said, stepping forward, crowding her space, “you saw me. That’s not fair, is it?”
She blinked at me, confused, fear and confusion swimming in her gaze. “Alpha…?”
I didn’t know what I was doing, not really. All I knew was that something in me had snapped. Maybe it was the way she had looked at me, maybe it was the sparks that danced across my skin every time she was near. Sparks I hadn’t even felt with my mate. That thought haunted me, whispered cruel truths I wasn’t ready to face.
“If you saw me,” I murmured, watching her closely, “then I should see you. That’s only fair.”
She looked like a deer caught in headlights. “W–what?”
“You heard me,” I said, arms crossed over my chest. “Take it off.”
“Alpha, please…”
Her voice was trembling. So were her hands. She clutched at the apron of her maid uniform, twisting the fabric like it would save her, I should have stopped. I should have walked away. But my wolf wanted her to stay. Wanted to see her.
“Bit by bit,” I said, my voice a little more gravel now. “Start with the top.”
She hesitated, her eyes filling with a mix of fear and something darker—curiosity, maybe. Slowly, painfully slowly, her fingers reached for the first button of her dress. She fumbled with it, her hands shaking.
“Look at me while you do it,” I ordered.
Her gaze lifted reluctantly to mine. Our eyes locked as she undid the button, then the next, and the next. The fabric parted, revealing a creamy expanse of skin and the delicate slope of her collarbone. Her breathing was shallow now, her chest rising and falling with every button undone.

Chapter 15
When the top of her dress fell to her waist, revealing the plain white undergarment that clung to her curves, I had to grip the dresser beside me to stay upright. Goddess help me, I had never seen anything so innocent, yet so temptingly sinful.
She stood there, trembling, flushed, but not backing down. Her pride or perhaps something else kept her rooted in place.
“Now the skirt,” I said, my voice rough. I didn’t recognize myself anymore.
Her hands moved again, finding the zipper on the side. She slid it down slowly, letting the skirt fall to the floor. She stood in her undergarments now– nothing special, but everything about her was driving me insane.
My eyes drank her in.
Her legs were slender but strong, her waist narrow, hips flaring just enough to stir something primal in me. Her breasts rose and fell with every panicked breath she took, but they were perfectly shaped, full and soft, and her skin… like porcelain warmed by candlelight.
I couldn’t look away.
“Turn around,” I said, not trusting myself if she came any closer.
She obeyed, silently. Her back was graceful, the curve leading down to a backside that made my wolf howl inside. She was trembling still, and it stirred something in me, I didn’t expect–guilt. But underneath that… was desire. A desire I couldn’t control, couldn’t understand.
I turned away, jaw clenched so hard it hurt. What the hell was I doing?
“You can put it back on,” I said hoarsely, facing the wall.
She didn’t move for a second. Then I heard the faint rustling of fabric as she dressed herself again, quickly, the silence between us stretching long and sharp like a blade.
Once she was done, I turned back to face her.
She stood, eyes downcast, lips parted slightly. Her cheeks were crimson, but she wasn’t crying. She looked… conflicted. Like she wasn’t sure if she should slap me or fall into my arms.
I understood. I wasn’t sure either.
“I–I’m sorry,” she said again, her voice barely a whisper. “I didn’t mean to-”
