Chapter 172
Chapter 172
Alpha Ethan’s Pov
“Elisa!” I shouted as loud as I could.
My voice echoed through the big training ground like a happy war cry. My legs moved fast without thinking, running toward her.
The moment I saw her, my heart stopped for a second, then started beating so fast, like a wild horse.
When I reached her, I lifted her off the ground and spun her around
a big hug.
Real tears filled my eyes as I pressed my face into her hair. “Oh, Moon Goddess… my little sister… you’re alive!” I cried, my voice breaking with too much
relief.
Her smell, familiar but a little different, hit my nose, and for the first time in two month, I felt the comfort I thought I lost forever.
I held her so tight, afraid if I let go, she would disappear again. My wolf shouted in my head so loud it shook me: “She’s alive! She’s alive!”
“I thought you were dead,” I whispered, my lips near her forehead. “I thought I lost you forever.”
She pulled back slowly and touched my cheeks with her soft hands.

Her eyes, those gray eyes that looked like our mother’s, looked at me with love and sadness at the same time. “Ethan,” she said in a shaky voice, its really me.”
For a moment, I froze.
I wanted to believe her, but another part of me, the Alpha part that had been betrayed before, needed to be sure.
I held her arms tight and looked into her eyes like a crazy man trying to find the truth.
“Is this really you, suger plumb?” I said, calling her by the name I used when we were kids. My voice cracked. “Tell me I’m not seeing things… tell me you’re real.”
“Yes,” she whispered, tears in her eyes. “It’s me, Ethan. I’m real.”
I couldn’t speak. My feelings crashed over me like a big wave of rellef, anger, confusion, and guilt all mixed up until I could hardly breathe.
“What… what happened?” I asked in a rough voice, my hands shaking as I held her face. “Two months, Elisa! Two whole months! I mourned you What happened to you?”
Her lips opened, but she didn’t answer right away. She looked around, her eyes moving to the servants who stood like statues, watching with wide eyes. Some even ran off, probably to tell others that the Alpha’s dead sister was back.
“Not here,” she whispered, touching my hand. “Can we talk in the grand living room? Please.”
I nodded right away, even though my heart was beating so hard it hurt.
I put my arm around her shoulders to protect her and walked with her down the hall. I heard shocked gasps from the staff as we passed.
Some dropped the trays they were carrying, and the sound of plates hitting the floor echoed. Others whispered her name in surprise, their voices shaking like leaves in the wind,
But I ignored them. Right now, only Elisa mattered.
As we walked, I noticed something. She was thinner than before, her body small and weak, like a glass doll left in the rain.

Chapter 172
There were faint scars on her wrists, half hidden by her long sleeves. My wolf growled inside me at the sight, and anger race like fire in my bard
Who hurt you, Elisa?
When we reached the grand living room, I pushed open the big double doors, and then
!froze.
Matthew was there. Sitting on the sofa like he owned it. His sharp eyes met mine, his face calm, but I saw his jaw fighter
And then I saw her.
Raven.
She sat at the far end of the other sofa, her body stiff, her face pale, but her eyes… those dark, strong eyes else I could never name.
that once made me so angry and something
She looked at me for half a second, then looked away, her hands gripping the edge of the seat like she was holding on for dear life.
A bitter taste filled my mouth as memories hit me hard: the lies I believed, the punishments I gave, the night I dragged her out of Matthew’s room… The way I hated her for what I thought she did.
And then I saw a man.
He
Tall, Broad shoulders, Green eyes that stood out. He stood behind Raven, his hand resting lightly on her chair. That simple touch made my blood boil and I didn’t even know why.
My eyes went back to Elisa. Questions burned in my throat. “Sta
talking,” I said, my voice low and full of danger. “What happened the night you died?
Elisa took a shaky breath, her fingers twisting together. The room went quiet, except for my heartbeat pounding in my ears.
Finally, she spoke.
“I came back that night without telling anyone,” she said softly. “I wanted to surprise you, Ethan. I missed you so much. I thought it would be the best gift to just show up and see your happy face.” She gave a sad smile that broke my heart.
I clenched my fists.
“When I landed at the airport,” she continued, “I saw Olivia.”
At that name, my jaw tightened
“She was pacing around,” Elisa said, her voice shaking. “She looked worried. I thought something bad happened to you, so I went to her. When she saw me, she grabbed me and said you had been in an accident. She said you needed a kidney transplant.”
My breath hissed out.
“She begged me to come with her, saying there was no time to call anyone.” Tears filled Elisa’s eyes. “I believed her, Ethan. I went with her without asking questions because I only cared about saving you.”
My whole body went stiff. The walls felt like they were closing in.
“But instead of taking me to you…” Her voice broke. “…she tied me up.”
The words hit me like a punch.
“She tied me up and kept me hidden. And when night came…” Elisa’s hands shook. her.”

Raven found me. She tracked Olivia with a device she planted on
My eyes turned to Raven so fast it hurt. She still didn’t look at me. Her head was bowed, her hands clasped together tight.
