Chapter 87
Alpha Ethan’s POV
“What do you want, Elisa?” I asked, my voice low and tight, my lack turned to her as I sat on the edge of my bed. “If you’re here to remind ma I’ve screwed everything up… don’t bother. Just go.”
Her footsteps were soft, cautious. She was approaching me slowly, Ike one would approach a wounded beast. “Erhan,” she whispered, placing a genda hand on my shoulder. “I would never do that. You’re my brother, and Hove you. Even when you mess up. I just want to help… What’s wrong”
I sighed, closing my eyes for a moment. The weight on my chest was getting header each day, and I didn’t even know how to breathe anymore. “a’s nothing.” I said, though it was everything.
“Elisa,” I muttered after a beat, turning to glance at her face, “You ever met a visioner…
She blinked. “A seer? Why are you asking!”
“I’ve seen a few recently,” I said bitterly. “And they keep saying the same complicated, twisted things. Never straight answers. Always riddles and mystery like it’s some damn fantasy book.” I shook my head. “I didn’t want to bring this up to anyone, but I’m losing it, Eliss Every time I close my eyes SAE Raven… and Olivia, I see fire, betrayal, pain And I don’t even know which one causes which
Elisa’s eyes softened, “I know someone. A friend of mine. He’s not one of those usual peers with white robes and candles. He’s different. But trust
him.”
I studied her face for a moment. She wasn’t lying. And frankly, I didn’t have much left to lose. “Take me to him.”
The drive out of the pack house was quiet. For once, Elisa didn’t fill the car with her usual chatter. She could tell something deep was gnawing at me. something that might not have a fixx.
We drove past the forest line, through a dusty road, until we arrived at a small bungalow nestled between tall pine trees. It wasn’t as old or eerie as I’d expected, in fact, it was… decent. Clean porch. Well kept garden. But the energy in the air shifted the moment I stepped out of the car.
“This is the place?” Lasked.
“Yes,” Elisa nodded, stepping out beside me. “And be open-minded/please
I didn’t reply: I just followed her up the wooden steps.
Inside, the house was simple–bookshelves lined the walls, a faint smell of herbs and burning wood filled the air. A young man, no older than twenty- five, stood from a small round table when we walked in. He had dark, thoughtful eyes, and there was something ageless about the way he carried himself.
“Elisa,” he greeted, pulling her into a brief hug. Then his gaze flickered to me. “So this is the Alpha.”
I gave him a nod. “You’re the seer?”
i don’t like that term,” he said calmly, walking to a small chair and gesturing for us to sit. “But yes, I see.”
He didn’t offer his name, and I didn’t ask. I sat across from him and went straight to the point.
“I need to know my future,” I said. “Specifically, the outcome of my life involving two people–Raven, a maid, and Olivia, my mate tread clarity?”
The young man didn’t flinch. He simply walked toward me, placed both hands on my shoulders, and closed his eyes.
The room fell into complete silence.

I didn’t know how much time passed. It felt like seconds and years at the same time. I could feels hands sembra stanov

“What did you see?” I demanded,
and opened his eyes.
His yoke wa
calm but faced with a grave tone. “It’s twisted”
My stomach clenched.
“The one you trust the most will turn out to be a lie,” he said slowly. “And the one you’ve hurt the deepest will be the one you’ll run to for forgiven
My jaw tightened.
“But she won’t be there.”
A long silence felt between us.
“What the hell does that mean?” I growled, standing. “Why do you people always speak like that? Why can’t you just say yes or no? Tell me is Raven going to betray me? Is Olivia-
“I told you what I saw,” he said, unbothered by my rising anger “And sometimes the truth isn’t what we want it to be
“Useless,” I snapped. “All of you. Useless.”
“Elisa,” I barked. “Let’s go.”
She stood hesitantly, apologizing with her eyes to the boy, and followed me out of the house.
Back in the car, I was fuming. My hands gripped the wheel, so tightly my knuckles were white.
“Elisa, you knew he would say some crap like that, didn’t you?” I asked,
“I didn’t know anything, Ethan,” she said softly. “But he’s never been wrong before. That’s why people come to him.”
I said nothing. I just kept driving
My mind was a storm. His words kept echoing: The one you hurt will be the one you run to, but she won’t be there.
What if it was true?
What if Raven…?
No.
She couldn’t leave. Not when everything I had now felt tied to her. But i had r elsel was too scared to name.

The worst part? I could already feel her slipping through my Engers.

I was angry at the seer, at fate, at myself.
And most of all, I was terrified.
Because deep down, a part of me believed him.

I found myself wandering though the halls again. I didn’t want her absence.
Every corner of this house was filled with her shadow.
Every time Olivia spoke, I heard Raven’s silence.
