Sebastian stared at the surveillance footage, his expression darkening by the second. His expression grew colder and more detached like the quiet tension in the air just before a storm breaks.

That night, the entire city of Valoria felt heavy with tension. There was an unmistakable pressure in the air. It was as if the city had fallen under a looming shadow.

A flicker of ruthless determination flashed through Sebastian's eyes. His voice was low but laced with fury as he ordered, "Keep looking. I don't care what it takes—find her."

Even if they had to turn all of Valoria upside down, Roxanne had to be found.

Cayden nodded. "From what we've gathered so far, she didn't leave on a whim. Someone's helping her. You… really don't know?"

In other words, he couldn't believe Sebastian hadn't noticed a thing.

Roxanne's disappearance was clearly premeditated. She must have made arrangements in advance. He was shocked that Sebastian, the man who shared a bed with her, hadn't noticed a single sign.

Cayden started getting nervous. There were only two things Sebastian usually cared about—work and Liana. Now, Emma was calling him, most likely regarding work, yet he still didn't take the call. Something was definitely off.

The second Sebastian's phone stopped ringing, Cayden's phone started ringing. It was Emma. She hadn't gotten through to Sebastian, so she turned to him instead. And Cayden—just a regular, overworked assistant—couldn't afford to offend either of them. He moved to the side and answered quickly.

"Is Sebastian with you?" Emma asked.

Cayden replied, "He is, but he's not taking any calls right now."

Having overheard Cayden, Emma spoke up. "I'm pretty sure I'm not mistaken. You can check the airport surveillance footage."

Without needing further prompting, Cayden had already instructed his team to check the airport surveillance footage.

Since Emma was flying abroad, her VIP lounge was likely in the international boarding area. They started there, and sure enough, they found Roxanne through the surveillance footage. She wasn't alone as the surveillance footage clearly showed her sitting intimately with a man before they both boarded the same flight.

"I found it. Four seats were reserved for international travel from Valoria College, but these tickets are special, so no boarding records are available," Cayden reported.

Sebastian's gaze sharpened as he saw the man sitting with Roxanne on the screen. He instantly recognized Zachary. A storm clouded his eyes as a sharp, unexpected pain gripped his chest. His face flushed, and the sting of betrayal hit him like a blow.
