Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 119

Roxanne and Zachary landed in Arland at 10:00 am the next day. However, they didn't leave the airport. Instead, they transferred to a flight heading to Hyvaland. It wasn't until 2:00 pm the following day that their plane touched down in Hyvaland.

Stepping out of the airport, they were greeted by a bright blue sky and crisp, fresh air. Hyvaland was a charming country known for its romantic atmosphere and relaxed pace of life. The people here were warm, and the environment was perfect for living. It was a place that made one feel at ease.

After an hour's drive from the airport, they reached the place where they would be staying. It was a cozy, homely type of residence, similar to a guesthouse.

Zachary smiled softly at Roxanne. "Let's take a rest first. Later, I'll take you shopping for essentials. Tomorrow, we'll report to the academy."

Roxanne entered the house. It was a small two-story loft—clean, tidy, and spacious.

With a total area of three thousand square feet, it included a huge balcony where she could see the sunrise and sunset, along with the blooming flowers of the town. It was a tranquil and soothing place.

"Zachary, did you make the arrangements for this house?" Roxanne asked.

Zachary's smile deepened. "Yes, I own this house."

"Really?" Roxanne was surprised. "Did you buy a house here?"

Zachary nodded with a smile. "I've always loved this town. It's perfect for living and creating art. When I first came here at 18, I fell in love with it. Whenever I run out of inspiration, I come here for a while to clear my mind and recharge."

Roxanne watched him as he spoke. The setting sun cast a golden glow behind Zachary, wrapping him in a radiance that felt almost unreal. He had a clean, refined appearance and carried himself with a gentle, calming presence—like someone untouched by the chaos of the world.

He just seemed to quietly exist on the edge of something ethereal. Being close to him felt warm and comforting.

Zachary turned to her. "You'll stay upstairs. Let me show you the room."

"Okay."

Together, they ascended the stairs. Upstairs was a large room decorated in a cozy, almost girlish style. Roxanne stood at the door, pointing to the inside. "This…"

His eyes curved in a gentle smile. "And thank you," he said.

In his mind, he added, "Thank you for making the journey to study here... and for staying with me."

After a short break, Zachary took her to the local supermarket on his bike. Roxanne couldn't remember the last time she had ridden on the back of a bike. The paths on both sides were lined with blooming flowers, their fragrance drifting on the breeze.

Perched on the back of Zachary's bike, with his soft, clean scent drifting over his shoulder, Roxanne felt a stillness settle deep inside her. It was subtle, almost weightless—like something restless in her had finally gone quiet.

She couldn't deny it—this town brought her a rare sense of peace. Her mood lifted with every breath.

It was nothing like Valoria. Back in Valoria, she had felt suffocated and gray. Maybe it was the relentless pace of Valoria or maybe it was Sebastian. Either way, she hadn't been happy there, and that was the truth. But now, she was starting over.

She had closed that chapter with Sebastian for good. It was time to move forward.
