Sebastian stared coldly at Angeline, his gaze sharp and icy. "You knew I was looking for her, so you decided to hide her and make sure I couldn't find her? Does seeing me not get what I want makes you happy?"

Cold sweat broke out on Angeline's back. She never expected Roxanne to record the conversation. What a scheming move.

What Roxanne said next drained all the color from her face.

"Ms. Barnes, you came to find me, and that same night, the place I was staying caught fire. When the fire broke out, I went downstairs and clearly saw someone pouring gasoline inside. If it weren't for Sebastian arriving in time, I'd probably be burned to ashes by now."

It was clear what she was implying. She was accusing Angeline of starting the fire.

Mason and Jensen both turned their eyes to Angeline with probing gazes.

Mason had only a vague interest in Yasmin but had no interest in Angeline at all. If Angeline was really this malicious, he would suggest Yasmin switch agents.

"It wasn't me!" Angeline instinctively denied it. "After I found you, I got into a car accident and ended up in the hospital."

She felt that this explanation was unconvincing, so she tried to explain further to Roxanne, weakly saying, "Roxanne, I have a lot of ties to your mother, and I feel guilty toward her. I knew you wanted to leave Sebastian, so I came to help you. I wanted to make up for what I did to your mother."

"You feel guilty? You shamelessly seduced my father back then. He's a sucker for looks, so he didn't go for you, a bag of bones. So, you brought your beautiful sister to seduce him instead. You were happily playing matchmaker between my father and your sister. A scumbag like you feels guilty? I don't even understand the word 'guilt' anymore!"
