Roxanne's little cherry lips were so irresistibly endearing. Upon closer inspection, there was a slight redness and swelling. It seemed that Sebastian had kissed her too hard before. This realization made him feel a flash of guilt, along with a deep sense of sweetness.
Roxanne was undeniably beautiful, but Sebastian had never observed her beauty so closely and for such a long time. At this moment, he felt content.
In the past, he never had much patience for her. He used to think that she wouldn't leave and believed that once he finally had some free time, he could slowly enjoy life with her. But he hadn't expected that Roxanne wouldn't wait for that time to come.
When Nicholas came in, he saw Sebastian with a lovesick expression on his face.
Sebastian also heard the noise and made a shushing gesture to Nicholas, signaling him to be quiet. Roxanne was sleeping and shouldn't be disturbed.
Nicholas smiled wryly. He couldn't help but grumble inwardly, "Oh, so now you know how to be considerate? If you had treated her like this earlier, you two wouldn't have ended up this way!"
But then, thinking about Sebastian's condition, he bit his tongue.
Sebastian mouthed to him silently, "Is there anything you need?"
Nicholas pursed his lips, realizing that Sebastian didn't want him around. He waved his hand, telling him there was nothing. Then, he closed the door.
Sebastian found it annoying that Nicholas was being a third wheel, but he didn't stop to think whether Nicholas wanted to be one. If Sebastian weren't his cousin, Nicholas really wouldn't have bothered with him.
With the third wheel gone, Sebastian felt much better. He turned his head and smiled at Roxanne, his dark pupils filled with endless affection. Just looking at her was more fulfilling than signing a billion-dollar deal.
Roxanne, in her sleep, seemed to sense Sebastian's burning gaze. She shifted uncomfortably, then turned over to face away from him and continued sleeping.
