Nicholas was very thoughtful and had already laid out a fresh set of casual clothes for Roxanne. When she finished her shower and came out, she smelled the delicious aroma of food wafting through the air. A hearty and nutritious meal was already set on the round table in the ward.

When Sebastian saw her, he smiled gently and said, "Come eat."

To be honest, she was starving. Hence, she walked over and sat down without hesitation. The cutlery was already set—a pair for her and a pair for Sebastian. She picked hers up and began eating.

However, Sebastian—who was sitting across from her—stood up. She didn't pay much attention to what he was doing, but the next moment, she felt her hair being gathered up by him.

She turned around in confusion. "What are you doing?"

Holding a towel in his hand, Sebastian gathered her freshly washed and still-damp hair. Then, he wrapped it carefully and tucked it into the towel, twisting it into a neat, high knot.

"It'll feel more comfortable this way," he said.

He had noticed when she came out that her hair was dripping wet, drenching her clothes in the process.

Roxanne turned her head, letting him be. But a flicker of bitterness flashed through her eyes.

It turned out that he had known how to act this way all along; he just hadn't wanted to do it. Even something as small as her hair dripping with water didn't escape his notice. If that was the case, did he really not understand all the pain and hurt she had endured in the past?

Just then, Sebastian's phone rang. He was still focusing on adjusting her hair and didn't have time to answer it, so he said to Roxanne, "Can you answer it for me?"

She answered the call, "Hello?"

The person on the other end seemed surprised by the feminine voice and paused before speaking. "Excuse me, is this Mr. Hayes?"
