Sebastian's throat moved slightly as he swallowed, his eyes distant and unfocused. What had he even been thinking back then? The ward sank into a heavy, drawn-out silence. It was clear Sebastian didn't intend to answer the question.
"Sebastian, this question is important. You need help right now. You need to tell them about the situation between you and Roxanne. Only then can they give you the best advice," Nicholas said.
Sebastian covered his face with both hands and poked at it a bit. After staying silent for a long time, he finally lowered his hands. He said in a calm voice, "I wasn't thinking about anything."
Back then, he really hadn't thought about anything.
That one sentence completely fried the brains of all four advisors. It was like their mental processors just went up in smoke.
Even Nicholas was stunned.
"You got a call from Liana and canceled the engagement party, and you didn't think about anything? No hesitation? No concern about the embarrassment Roxanne would face?" Nicholas asked.
Sebastian sighed. "No."
Winona couldn't believe it. "Canceling an engagement party is such a major event, and you just canceled it like that? Did you even explain it to Ms. Sawyer?"
Sebastian was silent for a moment. "No."
Everyone was stunned and momentarily speechless.
Violet frowned. "Mr. Hayes, you say you like Ms. Sawyer, but from your actions, I honestly can't tell. I don't believe you love her."
It was just absurd.
