Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 81

Peter asked Sebastian, "Let me ask you—what was your answer when Roxanne asked if you'd be willing to exchange Liana for her? What did you even do after that?"

Sebastian massaged his temples. "I didn't answer because I didn't know what to say. I went out for a drink instead."

Peter was so exasperated that he almost laughed. To him, what Sebastian did was awful and outrageous.

"And then? You didn't answer my question. What's your next move?"

Sebastian didn't hold back his thoughts. "Let her cool off for now. Once she's thought things through, the issue will be over."

Peter clutched his head right away. He had completely given up on Sebastian.

Sebastian was such a weirdo. He was a complete idiot when it came to relationships.

Peter looked up and glanced at Sebastian earnestly. "You said you want her to calm down and think things through. Why do you want her to cool off? What should she figure out? Roxanne is probably thinking that you'd definitely trade Liana for her. After all, she's your fiancée. Wait, that's not right. You two aren't even engaged yet, so she isn't actually your fiancée.

"You always treat Liana so differently and end up ditching Roxanne every single time. You even traded Roxanne for Liana. How could you bear to give up Liana for Roxanne?"

Sebastian's brows furrowed. The more Peter said, the grimmer Sebastian's expression became. Sebastian also became more hostile than ever.

"Enough," Sebastian interrupted Peter. "She won't think that way."

Peter patted him on the shoulder. "That's what you assume, but it's not her way of thinking. Sebastian, don't force your thoughts on others.

"Also, women are sensitive. Roxanne loves you, but she won't keep that up if she continues feeling neglected and disappointed by this relationship. By the way, the perfect phrase to describe your avoidance behavior in relationships is called emotional abuse."

For the first time, self-doubt crossed Sebastian's face as he reflected on his behavior.

Peter secretly mourned for Sebastian. "Go back and coax her now. Who knows? You might still have a chance."

Roxanne glared at Liana before grumbling, "Don't you know you should knock on the door before coming in, Liana? Have you lost your manners?"

Liana immediately stepped forward to interrogate her. "What did you do, Roxanne? Why is Sebastian ignoring me? He hasn't paid me a visit at all ever since I was hospitalized. You must have said something to him, right?"

Roxanne became irritated. She was a patient who needed rest. Besides, Liana definitely had something to do with Roxanne ending up in the hospital.

"Sebastian's ignoring you and hasn't even paid you a visit. Why don't you ask yourself just how did you mess up? Perhaps you weren't caring and thoughtful enough, which got on his nerves!"

"Never!" Liana exclaimed furiously. "Sebastian cares a lot for me. You definitely lost your mind, refusing to leave him alone. You must've stopped him from visiting me. It's all your fault!"

Roxanne's patience with Liana had reached its limit. Since Roxanne wasn't Sebastian, she didn't have to indulge her.

Roxanne smirked at Liana and said nastily, "He probably found you disgusting, which is why he didn't visit you."
