Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 83

If Roxanne hadn't experienced being stabbed before, she might have lost her mind in the current situation. However, after what had happened in the past, Roxanne was able to calm down at that moment.

From the moment Liana splashed the liquid on her, Roxanne had already been planning her next move to prevent herself from getting hurt.

But no matter how fast she reacted, she couldn't guarantee that nothing would go wrong. Several droplets had splashed onto her hands when she held the blanket up.

Roxanne tried to recall what she had learned at school.

What was she supposed to do if she accidentally came into contact with sulfuric acid? She had to use a lot of clean water to rinse her skin immediately. Doing that would lower the acid concentration and reduce the heat damage on her skin.

After rinsing her skin, Roxanne could apply baking soda or toothpaste to the affected area, which would prevent an infection.

However, those who came into contact with sulfuric acid would feel an intense burning sensation. While a few droplets had splashed onto her skin, Roxanne felt nothing.

Besides, sulfuric acid was extremely corrosive. Roxanne had quickly shielded herself with a blanket, but the sulfuric acid hadn't corroded it completely.

While Liana was struggling, the sulfuric acid should have already seeped through the blanket and corroded long ago.

But Liana was still screaming like a madwoman, and all Roxanne saw was a large wet patch on the blanket.

Roxanne picked up the bottle that had fallen on the ground and sniffed it. There was no pungent smell at all. It was just a normal liquid.

Roxanne sighed in relief before rage consumed her. She pressed against Liana on the ground and began beating her violently through the blanket. "I've put up with you for a very long time. You had this coming!"

Liana screamed, "Someone's trying to kill me! Help me!"

Roxanne punched Liana many times through the blanket. Thanks to Liana, she really did suffer a lot of humiliation for many years.

Since Roxanne was about to leave, she might as well give Liana a good beating to vent her anger. After all, Liana had triggered her first.

When Sebastian opened the door, he was greeted with the sight of Roxanne raining blows on Liana. His gaze burned with fury as he quickly stepped forward to drag Roxanne off Liana.

While clinging to Sebastian, Liana glanced at Roxanne with a taunting glint in her eyes.

Roxanne immediately laughed in frustration. "Sebastian, have you lost your mind?"

But it made sense. Sebastian didn't usually seem to be in his right mind whenever he was around Liana.

Roxanne raised the bottle in her hand right away. "Liana, didn't you want to splash me with sulfuric acid earlier?"

Liana acted all pitiful. "Roxanne, what are you talking about? That's clearly water. How could you slander me like that?"

Roxanne snorted. "Did I? Liars usually end up biting their tongues."

Liana shook her head as she cried, looking at Sebastian. "Sebastian, I didn't do that…"

Liana trailed off with a yelp. She covered her mouth as blood trickled out.
