Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 84

Liana covered her mouth in pain, and her face turned pale. She couldn't even say a word as she pointed at Roxanne.

Liana grabbed the hem of Sebastian's shirt. She looked at him pitifully while accusing Roxanne, "Sebastian, she cursed me."

Sebastian wore a darkened expression as he gazed at Liana coldly. Her heart lurched, and she trembled in fear.

"Sebastian, I didn't do it… Do you believe her over me?"

Sebastian didn't utter a word as his gaze grew colder.

Roxanne sneered at the side. Sebastian didn't believe her; he never had. He had always stood by Liana's side unconditionally.

Take what happened earlier—Sebastian hadn't seen anything at all. However, he immediately believed Liana after taking in her disheveled appearance on the floor and hearing her accusations.

What kind of person was Sebastian? Was he really that quick to judge? Or was he someone who withheld his judgment until he heard the whole story?

Sebastian's favoritism for Liana knew no bounds.

Sebastian had never once trusted Roxanne. However, he believed in her ability to jinx others. He was rather fascinated upon learning about her skill.

Back then, out of excitement, Roxanne explained everything about her skill to jinx others, its drawbacks, and how it worked. Her skill only worked once a day, and the person she wanted to jinx had to be right in front of her.

It'd work even better if the said person held ill intentions toward Roxanne as evil people would face more brutal consequences. Not only did the jinx not work on the good, but it would even backfire horribly on her.

After Roxanne jinxed Liana, Liana bit her tongue, causing blood to trickle out of her mouth. Liana was in so much pain that she started shivering. Clearly, the jinx proved what an evil woman she was.

All of a sudden, Liana's heart started racing, and she became extremely panicked. She could tell that Sebastian didn't trust her, but she had already done her best to prove that she was innocent. Why didn't he believe her?

In the next second, Liana clutched her chest. She looked terribly pale as she fell backward right away.

Sebastian subconsciously reached out to stop her from falling to the ground. As soon as he caught her in his arms, he suddenly thought of Roxanne and turned to look at her.

From the moment Sebastian reached for Liana, Roxanne already turned to lie back on the hospital bed.

When Liana used to be Roxanne's love rival, her acting skills would drive Roxanne up the wall. In the beginning, her acting skills weren't as convincing as they were now. Anyone could tell from one glance that she was merely pretending.

Roxanne used to tell Sebastian that Liana was putting on a show. But he would merely reply coldly, calling Roxanne heartless.
