Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 401

Oliver strode through the bar's corridor, his footsteps echoing with an assertive rhythm. Westwood's most popular hangout spot was so vast that it took him a good minute to reach the elevator bank. As the elevator doors slid open, a girl with a pixie cut, head down, and a brisk walk emerged, making a beeline away from him.

Oliver paused, letting the doors close without entering. Instead, he quickened his pace and caught up with the girl. She wore a tight-fitting tee that hugged her curves, leaving little to the imagination. Her denim shorts accentuated long, slender legs that seemed to glow under the dim lights of the corridor.

Approaching her, Oliver couldn't resist and playfully swatted her behind. The girl spun around with a slap aimed for his face, but Oliver's reflexes were sharp, and he caught her wrist in time.

"Josie."

Josefina?

Only then did Josefina realize the man in front of her was none other than Oliver.

"Josie, dressed to kill – were you looking for me?" Oliver mused.

Josefina hadn't recognized him at first, confirming Oliver's guess that she hadn't come for him. Hooking her arm in his, she played along. "I'm here for Lena, and look, I bumped into you instead."

Oliver smoothly cornered her against the wall, his arms cradling her with no escape. He bent down, his intense gaze locked on the fiery girl trapped in his embrace. "Josie, you've been naughty, not recognizing me. I'm hurt."

Josefina felt a twinge of guilt; despite being face-to-face, she hadn't recognized Oliver.

"I was in a hurry, Oliver, it wasn't on purpose."

"That sounds like an excuse, Josie."
