Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 451

Josefina couldn't hide her amusement as she watched Lena, who was practically glowing with confidence and triumph. What on earth had Lena done to make her so proud?

With a dramatic flourish, Lena pulled a stack of papers from her bag and excitedly told Dorian, "Dorian, I did just as you said. The files are organized and dated for your convenience."

Josefina could barely contain her disappointment. Really? That's it?

Trying not to laugh, Josefina focused on her meal, savoring each bite of her delicious spaghetti. Comfort food really hit the spot.

Dorian set down his fork and took the documents, glancing through them with a nod of approval. "How long did this take you, Lena?" he asked.

"Three hours," Lena replied eagerly.

Dorian's face remained impassive, but Josefina noticed the brief flicker of emotion that crossed his eyes. Three hours for such a simple task? Lena’s pace was painfully slow.

Suppressing a grin, Josefina continued to eat in silence.

Lena's voice was soft as she apologized, "Dorian, I'm sorry for being so slow. I'll work harder and get faster at handling the tasks you give me."

"Dorian, have you eaten yet?" Lena asked, quickly changing the subject. "If not, let's eat together. Work can wait—Secretary Gold and the others have everything under control."

"I haven't eaten yet. I'd love to join you and Josefina for dinner."

In her dedication to her work, Lena hadn't even had a proper meal.

"Lena," Josefina called out to the kitchen, "could you add an extra serving of ravioli for me?"

"Of course, Miss Josefina," Annika responded from the kitchen.

Soon after, Annika emerged with a plate of ravioli.
