“But it’s not sleepy time yet,” Dodo protested with a serious face. “I’m gonna wait for Didi to finish, and then go to bed with bert

“I’m not “Dodo immediately tossed the game console aside and sat down next to Joseph.
Joseph showed a pen into Dodo’s hand and then pulled a math test out of the drawer. It was a high school–level test Edith had left behind while doing he homework in his room a couple of days ago
Joseph figured this sneaky guy might be able to solve it. If Dodo did, he would expose Dodo’s true colors
Josephlet out a dramatic sigh. “Math is just way too hard. I can’t solve a single problem. Edith says she likes guys who are good at math. What am I supposed to do?”
“I’ll teach you!” Dodo piped up immediately. He placed the best in front of himself and glanced over the questions.
These were tough he couldn’t figure out the answers immediately, so he had no choice but to start working through the problems step by step on the
Joseph sneakily pulled out his phone and unapped a picture of the scene. He planned to send it to Edith later, hoping she’d kick this guy with ulterior motives out of the house

a half hours since the Middle school evening study ended.
If Zachary had finished his homework, there was no way he’d have had time to play basketball.
“Does he even realize he’s in his last year of middle school? The high school entrance exams are right around the corner, and he actually thinks playin basketball is more important? Edith thought.
If his grades were decent, she might have let it slide. But he always cause dead last on every exam. She didn’t understand where he got the guts to go out and mess around every single day.
Zachary felt a cold draft blow right through him. He quickly and skillfully pulled out all his homework from his backpack.
He laid each notebook out in front of Edith, Edith flipped through each notebook and then closed them.
“See? Told yout wasn’t lying” Zachary said smugly. “You didn’t even ask me to do the science homework, but I went ahead and did it anyway–just to give you a little surprise”
Edith grabbed the notebooks and tossed them straight at his face without a second thought.
Zachary instantly snapped. “Edith, are you out of your fucking mind?”
“Oh, it is a surprise,” Edith said coldly, fixing him with a glare. “You got a girl to do your homework for you? Did you think I wouldn’t see night through
that?”
Zachary’s handwriting usually looked like chicken scratch, but the writing in these notebooks was all pretty and tidy–it was obvious a girl had done it for
him.
As soon as she said that, Zachary froze. Earlier that night, his buddies had asked him to go play basketball, but he turned them down–he had to get home and finish his homework, or he’d be dead meat
But then one of his friend’s little sisters offered to do it for him. With someone being so eager to help, it’d be rude not to accept her kindness.
He even told her to make sure she copied his handwriting. I thought she would nail it, so how the heck did Edith see through met

“I don’t care if it takes you until midnight. You’re finishing it,” Edith said, shoving him into his room. “Try to pull another stunt ke this, and I’ll kick you off the third floor.”
Zachary was on the verge of tears. ‘Edith is just too scary. There is no way I’d ever dare test her limits”
He didn’t even bother changing out of his sweaty basketball clothes. He just slumped down at his desk, opened his textbook, and resigned himself to his

Edith closed his door, and just then, her phone burred with several new messages. She tapped to check them–it was Joseph, who had sent her a short video, just a little over ten seconds long
in the video, a hand was holding a pen, working through a tough senior–year geometry problem
The person barely hesitated before quickly drawing an auxiliary line, and then saved the problem in a swift, confident flow. When the question was finished, the camera tilted up, revealing an unbelievably gorgeous, fawless side profile.
This was the kind of tough senior–year problem that Edith couldn’t handle at her current level, but he breed through it almost without thinking
