The director stared through the monitor for a long moment, watching Shane remain frozen in place, eyes glued to the girl in front of him.
He finally shouted, “Shane! What are you doing?”
Logan didn’t respond. He just kept staring at Becky.
Unable to hold back any longer, Becky coughed lightly. “Shane, we’re filming. Be professional.”
Logan blurted out, “You look just like my mom…”
Excuse me? Was that supposed to be a compliment?
Was he calling her old!!
Unbelievable. She’d given birth, sure–but she was still youthful and radiant!
The director’s voice barked again. Logan had no choice but to pull himself together and shoot the scene.
But thanks to the girl in front of him, he was completely out of it
The scene was NG’d multiple times.
Becky gritted her teeth. Two hundred dollars has never been harder to earn.
Everyone on set stared at Shane. He was usually the one–take king. What the hell was going on today?
It seemed to have something to do with the dancer. He kept looking at her like he was under a spell. Was this… love at first. sight?
How many fans would cry if this got our?
After yet another failed take. Becky couldn’t take it anymore.
She stomped on Logan’s foot–hard.
She was wearing heels. It hurt.
“Ow!” Logan yelped, looking at her like a wounded puppy. “Why’d you step on me?”
Becky glared. “If you don’t act properly, I’ll crush your foot!”
No one had ever dared speak to him like that.
But because she looked so much like his mother, he swallowed
retort.
The director was ready to give up and reschedule the scene. Shane was clearly out of it
Then–miraculously–Logan pulled himself together. And this time, the scene passed.
Becky exhaled in relief. As soon as they were done, she rushed to change.
Logan, meanwhile, got dragged by the director for a scolding “What the hell was that? I know she’s pretty, but could you not stare It’s rude–and you messed up the whole shoot!”
Before the lecture could continue. Logan shook him off and bolted
He searched every room but came up empty
Becky meanwhite, ran breathlessly to the studio gate.
The young driver opened the door for her “Ms. Quinn, there you are! I thought you got lost ”
Becky clim
water bottle and downed hull

“I’m exhausted!”
The driver got in and glanced at her, puzzled, “Ms. Quinn… your makeup changed?”
“I just did a quick cameo.
Huh?”
“Drive”
Okay.
Back on set, Logan was still searching.
“Where is she? She vanished!”
The girl’s sudden disappearance made him feel like it had all been a dream.
He ran back to the director. “Where is she? You hid her, didn’t you?”
The director was baffled. “Who?”
The dancer. That girl.”
“Oh–the one who made you forget how to act?”
“Yeah.”
“I have no idea.”
“You brought her here and you don’t know?!”
“Why would I know?”
“Why dont you know?”
“I don’t know!TM
“You should know! Give her back!”
The director nearly had a stroke. “The assistant director found her. Go ask him.”
Logan stormed off.
From a distance, the director watched him grab the assistant director by the collar. He shook his head.
Ah Love makes people crazy
Logan repeated his demand. “Where is she
The assistant director said, “I don’t know. She probably left”
“You don t even know her name?”
“She was just an extra I grabbed her last minute Paid her 200 dollars and that’s it
Logarexploded “Who told you to just pay her! With that face!! Only 200 dollars? What do you think she is–a beggar Stingy jerk
The AD stammered. “I that’s the standard rate..”
Logan shoved hum asude, fuming

His twin instinct screamed that this girl… could be the Lily the Shanks family had been searching for all these years
Just thinking about that possibility made him dizzy with excitement.
He started pacing around the lot, manic with energy.
Everyone watched him with wary eyes.
Eventually, he pulled out his phone and called Wayne
“I think I just saw Lily”
Wayne frowned. “Where are you?”
“Dracovia. I saw this girl today–she looked exactly like Mom when she was younger. Could it be Lily? Her age matches too.”
Wayne’s thoughts immediately turned to the girl his sons had mentioned seeing weeks ago.
They’d searched for her ever since–but came up with nothing
And now, she might’ve resurfaced.
