His eyes glinted. “So you still care about me?”

She shoved him out and slammed the door shut.

Xavier stood in the hallway for a moment, then let out a wide, satisfied grin before finally walking away.

Back inside. Janus looked up. “Where’s that bastard?”

The brothers didn’t say much–but they had other plans. They’d deal with Xavier later.

Lyle made an excuse to leave. One by one, the other three followed.

Becky didn’t think much of it. She figured they were busy.
