Chapter 189 Farewells, Flights, and Fanservice
Becky didn’t have much time left in Dracovia, so she made sure to visit Barry and Mary.
Back when she’d been at her lowest, it was the Yale family who helped on
hadn’t forgotten their kindness.

She brought them a whole load of high–end gifts–seafood, several types of health supplements, even a massage machine. The pile filled the entire room.
Barry and Mary were stunned and immediately tried to decline.
Becky smiled and said, “You have to take them. I’m sure Sharon already told I found my family, and I’ll be moving to Circovia soon. If it weren’t for your care, I wouldn’t have been able to give birth to James so smoothly. So please accept these.”
Sharon added, “Mom, Dad, just keep them. Becky really means it.”
With that, Barry and Mary couldn’t keep pushing the gifts away, so they reluctantly accepted.
Becky stayed for dinner at the Yale family home before returning.
Later, she met Yuna for a meal.
“These are herbal foot soak packets I made for you. You work so hard–you should use them to relieve fatigue and boost your immune system. And this sheet has a recipe for a medicinal meal. Have your housekeeper make it for you. It’ll help your health.”

Yuna already knew Becky’s background from Jose and was aware she’d soon be heading Circovia. Holding Becky’s hand, she couldn’t bear to let go.
“Thank you for being so thoughtful. I’m going to miss you so much when you’re gone.”
Becky’s peach blossom eyes curved into a smile. “I’ll come back and visit often.”
“You promised. You better keep that promise.”
“I will.”
Yuna couldn’t help feeling a little regretful.
What a good girl. If only she liked her son–it would’ve been perfect.
After the meal, Becky returned to Purple Pavilion and received a call from Julia.
She was informed that in ten days, Lyle would come pick her up.
Becky said, “Mom, Lyle’s really busy. There’s no need to trouble him. We can go on our own.”
Julia replied, “Lyle’s not busy. He’s the most free of us all. Let him come get you. Your father and I won’t feel at ease otherwise.”
At that very moment, the supposedly “free” Lyle was charging through an abandoned factory with a rifle, dodging bullets. while returning fire.
After a burst of gunfire echoed through the building, silence returned.
Lyle and seven or eight other uniformed men emerged, dragging along three badly injured criminals.
“You’re bleeding”
Dyle glanced at his arm. A bullet had grazed the skin, drawing blood.
“No big deal Just a scratch”
Becky couldn’t talk her way out of Julia and Janus’s plans, so she gave in.

Lying in bed that night, she opened her WhatsApp and scrolled through her chat with Xavier.
She re–read all the messages he’d sent over the past few days and laughed out loud.
Speaking of which–Xavier had been on his trip for four or five days now. Why wasn’t he back yet?
Would they even have time to sleep together before she left?

The next morning, Becky got a call from Logan.
“Lily, I’m in Dracovia. Let’s have lunch.”
Becky lit up. “Sure! But I won’t be off work for a bit. You’ll have to wait.”
“No problem. I’m still at the airport–it’ll take me a while to get to you anyway.”
“Want me to send a car?”
“No need. The company arranged one.”
“Alright, see you soon.”
After hanging up, Becky thought for a moment and messaged Sharon:
“Want to meet your idol?”
Sharon had spent the whole morning shadowing one of the senior secretaries and was so exhausted she didn’t even feel like heading downstairs for lunch. She lay slumped in her chair.
The moment she saw Becky’s message, she sprang up, fully energized.
“YES! YES! YES!”
She grabbed her purse and bolted out–only to run straight into Brendon.
“Ow! So hard! That hurt!”
Sharon yelped.
Brendon: “…”
He shifted awkwardly “Sharon, what are you saying?”
“You–are you made of bone or stone? You’re seriously hard. That really hurt.”
“You’re the one who came charging like a lunatic.”
Before he could finish, Sharon had already dashed off.
But halfway down the hall, she doubled back, annoyed that he was blocking the door. She gave him a shove.
Brendon ”
It had been a while since he’d seen such a rough version of Sharon.
He stood there, stunned.
Sharon returned to her desk and pulled out her makeup kit, starting to touch up her face.
Brendon could tell something was off.
He asked, uncertainly, “You seeing someone? Heading to meet your boyfriend?”
Sharon replied. “Nope”

“Then what’s all this about?”
“My idol’s here.”
“Idol? Who?”
“Shane.”
Brendon frowned.
Shane. Logan. One of the Shanks family’s four sons. Becky’s brother.
So Sharon liked that guy.
Brendon felt a bit annoyed. He folded his arms and leaned against the doorframe.
Women dolled themselves up for the one they wanted to impress. Logan must hold a pretty special place in Sharon’s heart if she had to glam up just to see him.
“You going alone?”
Sharon said, “Of course not. Becky’s coming too. Shane is Becky’s brother–her real brother, Logan.”
Brendon snorted.
Sharon noticed his lack of surprise. “You already knew?”
“Yeah.”
She figured that made sense, given how close Brendon and Xavier were.
Once she finished her makeup and felt beautiful enough, she finally packed everything up with satisfaction.
