Chapter 201 A Bite of Affection
Just as she reached the door and was about to knock, she heard Xavier’s voice from inside.
“What are you yelling for? It’s not like I haven’t seen it before.”
Abigail: “…”
She slowly lowered her raised hand and tiptoed back to the nursery.
Meanwhile, Xavier lifted the blanket and slipped under it, pulling Becky tightly into his arms.
Becky was flustered, unsure where to put her hands. Xavier chuckled and guided her hand to his lean waist.
As if burned, her fingers instinctively curled back.
After a long, lingering kiss, Xavier’s voice rasped in her ear, “Where’s the condom?”
Blushing, Becky pointed to the nightstand.
The box they’d bought had been used up the night before.

Xavier pulled away, leaned over to open the drawer, retrieved the black pouch inside, and quickly took out a new box.
Becky didn’t dare look–she only heard the soft rustle of foil and packaging.
Soon, Xavier returned, pressing up against her again.
When the waves became unbearable, Becky bit down hard on her lip.
“Don’t bite yourself, sweetheart. Bite me.”
His deep, low voice above her seemed to carry some kind of magic–intoxicating and irresistible.
Becky’s tear–bright eyes stared up at him, and as another surge crashed over her, she sank her teeth into Xavier’s shoulder.
The next morning, Becky woke up to find herself wrapped tightly in Xavier’s arms. Her hand was around his waist, and her leg was tangled over his.
Their position was… very intimate.
She stared blankly for five seconds, then gently moved her hand away and quietly unhooked her leg. Just as she was about to slide out of bed, a pair of strong arms pulled her back into that burning–hot embrace.
A husky voice sounded above her. “Just a little longer.”
Xavier liked this feeling–liked it even more than the act itself.
Holding Becky made him feel content.
When Becky looked up, she saw a row of deep teeth marks on Xavier’s shoulder–there was even a bit of blood.
Seeing her staring fixedly at his shoulder, Xavier leaned in until the bite mark was practically touching her.
“Becky, I got bitten by a little snake. It really hurts. Kiss it better?”
Becky: “…”
“Come on, just one kiss and it won’t hurt anymore.”
Blushing, Becky pushed him away. “No! I’m getting up.”
Xavier laughed aloud, propping his head up as he watched her.

He couldn’t explain it—he just loved teasing her.
Becky reached over the side of the bed to grab her nightgown, then ducked back under the covers to slip it on.
Xavier chuckled. “We’ve done it so many times and you’re still shy.”
Becky ignored him. It took her a bit of fumbling under the blankets to get dressed properly.
Once she was done, she quickly got out of bed and rushed into the bathroom.

Xavier wrapped a towel around himself and headed into the adjacent room to shower. When he came back. Becky was still in the bathroom.
He got dressed and ready while she finally stepped out.
Becky blinked, surprised at how fast the man had moved.
Xavier walked over and casually pinched her cheek.
“I’ve got a meeting. I won’t be able to eat breakfast with you. I’ll pick you up after work.”
Becky waved happily. Then go already.”
Xavier: ..
He narrowed his eyes, grabbed her, and gave her a long, hard kiss before letting go.
The door clicked shut with a ding. Becky’s heart was still pounding.
By the time she went downstairs, Xavier was already gone.
After breakfast, she stepped outside and found Randall waiting by the car. He got out to open the door for her.
“Ms. Becky, your ride.”
Becky paused, then got in. “How did Xavier leave?”
“Mr. Xavier drove himself to the office,” Randall replied. Then he added, “There are cars in the garage at Mr. Xavier’s other house.
“Oh.”
Becky nodded and didn’t say anything more.
Everyone knew she’d be leaving soon, so recently, there had been a surge in patients. Her morning and afternoon slots were fully booked.
Sharon called her, but she didn’t have time to answer.
During lunch, she took the chance to call her back.
Sharon was eating too.
Lately, the atmosphere in the secretary department had been off–everyone seemed to be deliberately making things difficult for her.
To get along better with the other secretaries, Sharon used to have lunch with them.
But in the past few days, she’d started eating alone.
She ordered a bowl of mashed potatoes at a nearby mall’s food court and found a seat by herself.
She felt more at ease dining alone.
Sharon got straight to the point. “Did you sleep with Xavier?”

Becky had her phone on speaker. She choked on her food and quickly turned to look at Mr. John.
Mr. John walked toward the door, smiling.
He didn’t comment on the younger generation’s openness.
“I ate too much. Going for a walk. You watch the store.”
Becky gave a quick “okay.”
Then she said to Sharon, “Can you please watch what you say?”
“What? What did I say?”
“Next time, be more subtle. Someone was nearby.”
Sharon glanced around. A few people were also looking her way.
“So how should I say it?”
Becky replied, “Use the word exercise instead.”
Sharon nodded. “Oh. Did you and Xavier exercise?”
Becky mumbled a vague response.
