Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 489

“Mr. Clayton, how’s the old man doing?” From the other elevator, the senior executives of White Corporation came rushing in, each of them looking travel-worn and anxious.

Everyone here needed to know: who would be the next to lead White Corporation?

For these men and women, they were rooting for Clayton. He was the capable one, after all.

“The chairman’s still unwell, under observation. It’s too soon to talk about this,” Clayton replied, clearly annoyed.

“But weren’t you the one who called—” The Vice President leading the group shot a surprised look over his shoulder at the others.

“We got a message in the group chat, said it was from you, asking us to come to the hospital for Mr. White—” another department head quickly chimed in, phone in hand.

Jade stepped forward, a faint, cool smile on her lips as she faced the crowd. “I sent that message. The reason I called you all here today is to use this opportunity to publicly address the issue of White Corporation’s succession.”

“And what gives you the right to talk about succession? The chairman made it very clear—Brandon and Jade have no claim to the inheritance. The White family’s legacy has nothing to do with either of you,” VP Chase snapped, voice sharp with accusation as he pointed at Jade.

Jade’s face darkened. She was about to retort when Brandon strolled over.

Brandon gave a relaxed, almost mocking smile. “What bad blood between father and son could possibly last overnight? We’ve had our spats, sure, but I’m his only blood relative, his only son. If there’s no will, then by law, everything falls to me.”

“So you’re saying there’s no will?” Clayton turned to Brandon, eyes cold and unreadable.

“The chairman’s will has been made public for ages,” VP Chase interjected, jabbing a finger at Brandon. “Every last detail of the White family’s estate is clear. No one else has any right to it. Miss Nicole is the sole heir to the White family. You have no standing.”

Brandon shrugged, unbothered. “Well, my dear cousin would have to be alive for that, wouldn’t she? She’s been missing for years. If she never turns up, the will can’t be executed. If the will’s invalid, then as his son, as her uncle, I’m next in line. I have every right to inherit everything.”
