124 You Really Earned It
Right now, both online viewers and the live audience have way more complaints than compliments for Gianna.
Her attempt to steal the spotlight was just too obvious.
Gianna listened to the wave of criticism, her face flipping between pale and flushed, but she clenched her jaw and kept hobbling forward.
In her head, she was cursing the haters, but on the outside, she kept up that pitiful, delicate act. Amelia, watching the over–the–top display, couldn’t help the small smirk tugging at her lips.
She knew Gianna was scrambling to save face, but to anyone with sense, it was nothing but a joke.
Finally, the results were announced–Amelia had won by a landslide.
Rocky stood on stage with the trophy in hand, his eyes brimming with tears. He felt like a proud parent watching his kid succeed.
He was proud of both her and himself.
Amelia motioned for him to come up, and when she gave her acceptance speech, she casually added, “This is Rocky Reeves, my personal stylist for the competition. Without him, I wouldn’t be standing here today.”
Her words instantly gave him a wave of free publicity, and all eyes turned his way.
From that moment, everyone would be lining up to work with Rocky–his name was about to blow up.
Then Jeremy strolled onto the stage, holding a huge bouquet of fresh flowers, handing them right to Amelia.
“Just as I expected. You won.”
The bold move and those words sent the livestream into chaos.
[Ahhh! Who is this gorgeous guy? Is he her boyfriend?]
[Wait, I know him! He’s the CEO of Curran Group. He’s rich, powerful, and smart. And look at that face!]
I know this guy! Didn’t Amelia’s first movie cast him as her love interest?]

[Wow, stunning girl and handsome guy–they look like the perfect match! I’d watch the worst movie on earth if they played a couple together!]
Just like that, thanks to Jeremy, Amelia picked up another wave of attention.
Backstage.
“Gianna, what the hell was that? Why’d you suddenly fall? Did you really trip, or was that on purpose?”
Maxwell stared at his sister, speechless for once.
If she’d actually stumbled, fine. But if it was just for attention, that would be a dumb stunt.
Has she completely lost it? With all of Nygard Group’s resources, she didn’t need to pull something that cheap!
“Maxwell, how could you even think that? I was just nervous, and the pressure got to me. Look, my foot’s all swollen!”
Gianna’s eyes were watery as she showed him her injured foot.
If people had praised her, she’d have claimed it was all part of a smart plan. But now, with the backlash louder than the sympathy, she didn’t dare admit it.
She glanced at Amelia, who was surrounded by admirers backstage, and bit down hard in
anger.
“Fine, I’ll take you to get that looked at later,” Maxwell said irritably.
Even though he still doubted her, her pathetic act and swollen foot made him soften, wondering if he’d been too harsh.
Still, he couldn’t stand the humiliation of losing so badly.
Not long ago, he’d sworn in front of Amelia that she would be crawling back, begging him to forgive her.
Now, seeing her as the star of the night, he and Gianna looked like fools.
On the other side.
“Why’d you have to make such a scene with the flowers? And why say that?”
Amelia was still holding the bouquet Jeremy had handed her. With the cameras off, she didn’t
bother to hide her irritation.
