He started thinking back. Every time he argued with Isabel, Gianna always seemed to be in the picture.

She’d suddenly get sick, throw a fit, or have trouble at work that demanded his attention.

People were like that. Once doubt crept in, it was hard to shake it.

“No!” Marcelo shook his head hard. “She’s my sister. Those are just random coincidences!”

He knew Amelia was clever. They shared the same blood and tricks.

Gianna knew Vincent was a mama’s boy and usually followed whatever Diana said.

So, when Diana stepped away to answer a call, Gianna grabbed the skincare set Regina had given her and went over.

“Diana, I haven’t given this to you yet.”

Gianna walked up with a bright smile. “I went through a lot to get this skincare set from a special source. It’s for you.”

“For me?” Diana looked at the pretty box, a little unsure since it was so sudden.

“Yep! Lots of older celebs use it and swear it works. It’s always sold out, and it’s great for women your age.”

Of course, Gianna wasn’t about to admit where it came from. She just made something up. As long as it worked, it didn’t matter.

“You should give it a try. I didn’t even give one to my mom.” She playfully stuck out her tongue.

It was obvious Gianna was trying to win Diana over for Vincent’s sake.

“Thanks, Gianna. You’re so considerate–way better than Amelia.” Diana naturally accepted the skincare set.

She wasn’t naive. She knew what Gianna was trying to do, but she didn’t mind tossing out a few kind words.

When Diana accepted it, Gianna lit up with joy. Her smile was bright and sweet.
