134 Birthday Plan
Vincent wasn’t joking around.
To him, Gianna couldn’t hold a candle to Amelia–whether it was looks, brains, or talent.
Amelia even had 30% of the Nygards‘ shares in her hands!

His words didn’t touch Amelia at all, but they cut Gianna deep. Her eyes went red with

anger.
In private, he’d always claim Gianna was better than Amelia–smarter, kinder, and more thoughtful.
“No thanks. Cross me off your list. It’s disgusting. Keep my dear little sister there instead.”
Amelia felt there was no point in dragging things out, so she decided to leave early.
If she had known those people would show up, she wouldn’t have chosen today to visit Ursula and Thea.
“Kids get moody sometimes. It’s normal. Don’t let it bother you,” Diana quickly said, trying to calm things down.
She was terrified the fight would blow up and wreck any chance of fixing the relationship.
“Right! Our families have always been close. We know each other so well,” Emery jumped in.
“By the way, we haven’t had a party in ages. We should plan one and have some fun together.”
Diana immediately grabbed the chance to switch topics. A party was the perfect way to give her son more chances with Amelia.
She was dead set on getting Amelia back.
Emery nodded. “I was just thinking that too. Gianna’s birthday is at the end of the month. Her dad is throwing her a party. You all have to come!
“And of course, Amelia will be there. It’s her sister’s birthday, after all.”
Anyone could see what they were plotting.
Amelia just folded her arms, silently watching the little show.
“No problem. Our families are close. We wouldn’t miss it,” Diana answered right away.

No one was happier than Gianna.

She’d always wanted a birthday party, but she usually pretended she was too modest to spend money, so she never had a big one.
Now that Raymond was hosting it, she was thrilled.
“Amelia, you have to come! It’s rare for me to have a party. We’re family, after all.”
She looked at Amelia with pride and a bit of
smugness.
“Of course. I’ll even bring you a big gift.”
Amelia saw right through Gianna.
That party was going to be
messy.
Perfect–she hadn’t seen any real drama in a while. It looked like the perfect chance to stir things up.
“We should also invite Ms. Bluefield. Isn’t she engaged to Marcelo? It’d be nice for all of us to get together,” Ursula said.
She couldn’t care less about the birthday. What she wanted was the latest on Marcelo’s love life.
“Good idea. Let’s invite Isabel. I haven’t seen her in ages,” Emery agreed.
The Bluefields were just as powerful as the Nygards. Isabel Bluefield was smart and elegant- basically the perfect match for Marcelo.
Gianna’s excitement faded the second Ursula mentioned Isabel.
How could Isabel be good enough for Marcelo?
But Marcelo clearly liked her. They’d been spending a lot of time together and getting along well.
Gianna had worked hard to ruin their relationship and was finally close to breaking them
And now, they wanted Isabel at the party? Just thinking about it made her stomach twist.
Still, she couldn’t say anything.
In her mind, her brothers should only care about her. Nobody else should matter.
She kept smiling politely, but she was furious inside,
apart.
