“Amelia, Gianna has been through a lot lately. She’s only just recovered. Can’t you cut her some slack?”

Maxwell realized Amelia wasn’t the pushover she used to be and quickly turned to Marcelo, who’d come along.

“Marcelo, say something! She’s out of control!

“We just wanted to take Gianna out for a drink and relax, and now it’s all gone sideways!”

Marcelo had only wanted to sip his drink and watch the drama. He’d been hoping to see his brother get dragged down by Gianna’s mess.

But before he could even enjoy it, he was sucked into the chaos as well.

“You’re the one who brought her. Don’t drag me into it.” He immediately cut himself loose.
