Those troublemakers and brown–nosers had done their homework early. They knew Gianna didn’t get along with Amelia, so they tried to put her down.
“Oh really? She’s that competent, huh?”
Amelia’s tone was full of implication, and Gianna instantly took it personally, boiling inside.
This bitch is definitely making fun of my failed acting career!
Just then, Miguel came over to check on Gianna. He heard Amelia’s mocking tone and didn’t hold back.
“Amelia, you just got here. You probably have no idea how much Gianna’s done for the company lately, do you?
“She developed a special solution that brought our Base Ol’s medicinal plantation back to life. It’s growing better than ever. She’s a hero.”
“Don’t say that, Miguel. I’m just doing my part for the Nygards.”
Seeing Miguel show up and instantly put that witch in her place, Gianna was absolutely thrilled.
Finally, someone stood up for her. She felt all the frustration from before start to melt away.
“Gianna, don’t be so modest. You studied this major. You should’ve been helping the company all along. You almost wasted your talent in showbiz.”
Marcello always complained that Gianna was useless. Actually, he just didn’t recognize talent.
Gianna might not have had a knack for showbiz, but she was a star in the medical field. Problems that stumped everyone else got solved by her in just a few days.
What does that mean? She was born for this. She should be doing what she was good at.
“Come on, Miguel, you’re exaggerating. I just had a rough time in showbiz before.
“Then I found out Dad and you were stressed about the company, and since I had some free time, I just focused on finding a solution.”
Of course, Gianna would never tell anyone the truth–the cure wasn’t really hers. Her mother had given it to her.
Now, she felt like her birth mother was totally unstoppable, way better than that idiot, Emery.

If it weren’t for how kind and doting Emery had been to her, she would’ve cut ties long ago.
“Alright, stop being modest. Let’s go check the medicinal plantation.”
Miguel thought his sister was great at everything, except that she was too humble and never wanted credit.
This skill she showed now didn’t look like something you learned overnight; she had been hiding it.
Marcelo had always dismissed her. He refused to mentor her at the company and dumped her on Miguel.
Now Miguel thought Marcelo was the one with the problem.
If he wasn’t completely out of his mind, there was no way he’d dump such a brilliant sister on him.
Whatever, it was a good thing. It would be satisfying to shock Marcelo later.
Miguel was delighted by the thought as he pulled Gianna’s arm, ready to bring her to the medicinal plantation.
He then turned and bossed Amelia. “You’re coming with us to learn.”
They were at the Nygard Group headquarters, not some other branch. As long as Amelia stayed here, she had to listen to him.
Officially, he was her boss now, so that brat better not slack off.
“Sure, let’s go,” Amelia said, secretly thrilled.
Naturally, she also wanted to see for herself just how much talent Gianna had to bring this important medicinal plantation back to life.
Gianna didn’t stop her. She had no right or reason to, and she wanted Amelia to get a good look.
She wanted Amelia to see how she was going to crush her and step all over her at the company.
The Nygard Group’s Base 01 was in the suburbs, at least two or three hours from the main office.
So Miguel had the driver take them there, along with several assistants and key staff.
You’d think this was some presidential visit with all this fuss.
