Amelia was just about to refuse when Josie’s voice came from outside the hallway. “Amelia? Are you in

there?”

“My friend’s here.” Amelia let out a sigh of relief and turned to leave.

Behind her, Jace’s voice sounded sincere. “Ms. Amelia, I hope tonight will make you happy.”

Happy?

What does that even mean? We barely knew each other.

Amelia didn’t even glance back. She hurried out of the corridor and ran straight into Josie, who was anxiously looking for her.

“Good grief! Where have you been?” Josie grabbed her arm. “I just heard JK showed up nearby; plenty of fans are rushing over like crazy!”

Amelia glanced nervously toward the emergency exit and mumbled, “Got lost on the way to the restroom. Come on, weren’t we going shopping?”

“Right! Let’s go. I found this super popular BBQ place. We’ll eat first, then shop.” Josie grinned. She was a total foodie and never missed a good restaurant.

Soon they found the place. The barbecue smelled amazing, juicy, and smoky. They both ate to their hearts‘ content.

By seven o’clock, they arrived at the concert venue.

Outside, the crowd was massive. Fans waved glow sticks and banners, shouting with excitement.

Amelia couldn’t help but sigh. “Wow. He well deserves to be the top star in the country.”

Josie proudly waved two tickets. “These are VIP seats! We’ll be so close we can see his sweat sparkle!”

When it was time to check in, Josie quickly handed the tickets to the guard.

“Sorry,” the security guard said with a blank face. “This area is for VIP guests only. Please show your tickets.”

Josie froze for a second, then hurriedly pulled out the two tickets. “We are VIP guests! These are our tickets!”

The guard took a look, frowned, and said firmly, “These are fake. You can’t go in.”

“What? That’s impossible!” Josie’s eyes widened in panic. “I paid a lot of money for these from a reseller!”

She’d hesitated when she saw the price; it hurt just thinking about it, but for her favorite idol, she couldn’t

resist.

The crowd around them began whispering. Some people even gave them looks of disgust and pity.

Not far away, Gianna and her friends stood watching.

When Gianna saw Amelia, her face lit up with cruel delight.

It must be fate–finally, luck was on her side, handing her such a perfect opportunity.

“Oh, isn’t that our rising star, Amelia?” Gianna’s friend said loudly, her heels clicking on the floor as she approached. “Can’t even afford real tickets?”

Gianna stood beside her, a smirk playing on her lips. “Amelia, if you wanted to come, you could’ve told me earlier. I would’ve asked my brother to get you real tickets instead of these fakes”

Josie’s face turned bright red. “That’s nonsense! We got scammed, that’s all!”

Gianna waved her VIP pass mockingly. “How pathetic! Should I ask the security guard to let you in?”

Then she looked Amelia up and down with fake sympathy. “You’re a public figure now, right? Getting caught like this, it’ll look bad on you.”

A few people nearby snickered. Amelia could feel their eyes stabbing into her back like tiny needles.

But she stayed calm. Her fingers accidentally brushed against something in her pocket. It was the gold VIP passes given by JK.

Well, what do you know? Perfect timing.

Amelia took them out and handed them to the security guard with a composed smile. “Save that act of yours,” she said coolly. “Please check these instead.”

The security guard took the passes. His expression changed instantly. “This is a backstage pass!”

He quickly handed it back with both hands and said respectfully, “Ladies, please follow me. I’ll take you through the VIP entrance.”

Josie’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Amelia, what… Where did you get this?”

Amelia didn’t answer. She simply gave Gianna a cool glance.

Gianna’s smile froze. A flash of jealousy crossed her eyes.

“That’s impossible! How could she have a backstage pass? It has to be fake!” she screamed.

The security guard frowned. “Ma’am, please don’t block the entrance for other guests.”

Under everyone’s stunned gaze, Amelia and Josie were escorted toward the VIP passage.

Josie felt like she was dreaming. She whispered excitedly, “Oh my gosh! What’s going on? How did you

even-?”
